AFL tips betting Anzac Day Eve – Wednesday evening

The AFL tips betting “traditional” ANZAC Eve clash has become Richmond and Melbourne at the MCG. The pre game is fantastic and is now attracting crowds to rival the big ANZAC Day game the next day.

This is a vital game for both of these sides. Its an important game for Richmond because they need to continue their momentum from the last fortnight of footy that has put them 3-2 on the win loss ledger. If they bring the manic pressure they produced Saturday night then this game is difficult for Melbourne.

On the other side of the fence the Demons are looking a mere shadow of their 2018 selves. They look slow, lack intensity and are tackling like they have one arm. Goodwin has a big job ahead here to merely get his side on the same page and be competitive again but the ANZAC spirit can bring players to a higher arousal level.

Perhaps it may be just what Melbourne need to spark their season despite looking a long way off and it would only be a lift across the whole group of 5% that could get them back on track. A significant performance bounce is necessary on the back drop of the current Richmond run of peak performances.

AFL tips betting Anzac Day – Thursday

It’s a big AFL tips betting game on ANZAC Day as Collingwood take on the Bombers. Both sides are bringing strong winning form into the match with  Collingwood winning their last two and the Bombers are looking to make it three wins in a row.

More so than ever this will be a battle of who can get the game on their terms. Both sides are very capable of moving the ball at speed but Collingwood have two gears in their game, they can defend strongly as well. Essendon have one gear only…”rip, shit and bust” flat out attack Bomber Ball!

This game style has served Essendon well in the last three weeks of AFL but in this corresponding game last year the Bombers were exposed badly for their lack of two way running. The Magpies had them on toast by quarter time. The question to be answered by this game is can the Bombers adapt and bring some lockdown into their game?

If not Collingwood are in good shape for this one as they are probably the best go fast/go slow side in the AFL and they are masters of playing the MCG.

Essendon are a very peak/trough style of team and given they have been on the upward curve strongly for three weeks in a row the likelihood of that graph being corrected is strong here.
