AFL ROUND 8 REVIEW – 26% profit return for weekend
It was a 2.9 unit profit on a 11 unit outlay and a 13.9 unit return for a 26% profit return in AFL Betting Tips round 8. Our best AFL Betting result for AFL round 8 was the 2 unit bet at +30.5 on Fremantle in the transferred game to the GABBA versus Brisbane. Brisbane was coming in on a big 3 game peak performance run on our HBM Human Behaviour Modelling and covered the line handicap in a 71-95 loss.

We had Essendon as a +17.5 and $2.75 WIN bet and just missed the win bet in a 103-105 loss to GWS but comfortably covered the +17.5 line in a 2 point loss.
Geelong was a nice 3.2 unit return profit bet in the Friday night game at the MCG as they re-established their premiership credentials in a 126-63 smashing of Richmond. The Tigers came in on the big peak performance the week prior and Geelong the 2 point loss to Sydney. We expected a Geelong bounce and that is exactly what we got in a +8.5 and WIN $2.40 bet for subscribers.
St Kilda was a 1unit WIN bet $1.80 and got home in a tight contest 63-54 in a low scoring game against Gold Coast.
The Bulldogs were a WIN $1.35 and -20.5 bet against Carlton and we got the $1.35 win bet however missed the line in a high scoring 107-91 win. The Bulldogs reversed a 27 point Q3 deficit and kicked 9 of the last 10 goals to get home and second on table at 7-1.
Melbourne was a -23.5 and $1.35 WIN bet versus Sydney and we got home on the win bet in a tight 67-58 win over Sydney. Melbourne now goes 8-0 in a remarkable start to the season and a finals berth almost a given.
Collingwood were a bet for us and we collected on the WIN $1.35 but missed the -20.5 line in a soft 94-76 win over North Melbourne. Whilst it was a win for the Pies, North are 0-8 and a very soft win in our view for Collingwood. In other games West Coast defeated an average Hawthorn and Port beat Adelaide easily in the Showdown.
AFL Ladder 2021
Melbourne retain top of place at 8-0 in AFL premiership season 2021 with the Bulldogs second at 7-1 and Port Adelaide 6-2 in third place. We then have a bottle neck in the middle of the table with 8 teams occupying between fourth and eleventh on the AFL table and 1 game separating them with 4 teams on 5-3 and four on 4-4. Six teams then have either 3-5 or 2-6 and North at the foot of the table at 0-8. We are of the view 6 teams are out of the AFL Finals race…Carlton, Adelaide, Essendon, Collingwood, Hawthorn and of course North.
Another set of crucial games in store for AFL Round 9 as we scour through our HBM Human Behaviour Model to assess betting opportunities for this weekends games.
