AFL Betting Tips St Kilda Coach

WHERE TO NOW ST KILDA

St Kilda Football Club…laughing stock of AFL

In our AFL Betting Tips, we hate to say we predicted it but our final sentence in last weeks Geelong v St Kilda preview tells the tale. The irony was expecting the removal of St Kilda Coach Alan Richardson was based on the Saints getting creamed by Geelong. They were actually highly competitive but as we forecast, the damage was done. Brad Scott has been installed as a short $1.40 favourite in the AFL Betting next St Kilda Coach market followed by Robert Harvey and Brett Ratten.

St Kilda FC CEO Matt Finniss…WTF!

So St Kilda sacks its Coach (or he resigns with the support of the club) in the worst kept recent secret in the AFL. Not that we have a problem with the decision as the Saints were clearly underperforming. What we have a problem with is CEO Matt Finniss sitting at the end of the press conference and declaring, “St Kilda has never been in better shape”! We mean, what the hell. You have sacked your coach but have the audacity to tell us you have the club going great. Does he take us as fools? What about some respect for Richardson! The press conference should have been wound up on a sour note, not trying to be up tempo after sacking your Coach!

Richardson did not help himself

Nothing speaks louder of a coach under pressure than one that blames the umpires for a loss!!! Alan Richardson pretty much did this in his post match conference after the Geelong game. “The umpires didn’t have a good night” and spent most of his time criticising the men in white for his sides performance. They had lost 8 of their last 10 so not sure the umps had a lot to do with that Richo.

Transparency in St Kilda hierarchy

Brad Scott is $1.40 in the AFL Betting Tips Next St Kilda Coach market tells us this is a done deal. The Saints have rolled out “transparency” and “no stone unturned to get the best man” and “we will go through a rigorous process” etc. Simon Lethlean is ex Kangaroos Coach Brad Scott’s close mate. Lethlean is very close to the AFL. Now Lethlean may excuse himself from the selection committee but from where we sit this is a done deal. May not be a bad thing but very unlikely due process!

Ex Captain Danny Frawley has stated “St Kilda need to be going through a very clear public process to get the right man. Sorry Danny can’t see that happening.

St Kilda – It’s a long way since 1966

From where we sit Ross Lyon is who the Saints should be targeting. Has been at the club before, understand the landscape and is in the “due process” box. Ross is the last guy to get them close to winning that elusive premiership since that one and only day back in 1966. Yes Lyon is polarising but he stand for not crap and is his own man. We think to go down the Scott, Robert Harvey, Aaron Hamill or even Bulldogs Coach and ex Saint Luke Beveridge are just too close to home. Beveridge does wet out appetite somewhat but we say come back home Ross.
