AFL Betting Tips – Round 15 review

AFL Betting Tips - round 15 review

BAD DAY AT THE OFFICE BUCKS

AFL Betting Tips – Round 15 full Review

Upsets galore in AFL Betting Tips Round 15 with Port, Collingwood, Fremantle and GWS all going down whilst cellar dweller Carlton get home in a shock win. North and Sydney climb the ladder to close in on AFL finals contention whilst Geelong bounce to retain the AFL top spot. Lets have a look at a fascinting round 15 AFL Betting Tips.

GWS GIANTS – DOWN IN FIGHT FOR TOP 2 SPOT

The GWS Giants who are in a dogfight for a top two spot in the 2019 AFL Finals race let a golden opportunity slip. It was a winning result however for our AFL Betting Tips for subscribers as we were on Essendon +12.5 and $2.60 win.

GWS surrendered a 3 goal lead late in the game to go down by less than a kick. There is focus on the goal review error that possibly cost GWS the game but the fact of the matter is when a possible top 2 team gets 3 goals clear against a side out of the 8 they should go on and win. The Giants didn’t and it needs investigation.

Essendon on the other hand responded as we correctly predicted using our Human Behaviour Model. They were shocking against the Eagles and we expected a bounce and that exactly what we got. And that is what our Human Behaviour Model is all about. Predicting the ebbs and flows of human performance and we are delivering great results for subscribers in our AFL Betting Tips.

GEELONG – FLEXING MUSCLES AS CROWS GO DOWN

The 16 year drought continued for the Adelaide Crows in the Friday night AFL Betting Tips match. Our Human Behaviour Model correctly predicted the Cats were able to bounce off their poor effort last week to not only win but cover the betting line in the process.

It wasn’t all on their terms though as Adelaide started well and at one point in the second quarter they had a 20 point lead. But it was as though the Cats pride kicked into gear and got going, they really became contested beasts and smashed Adelaide at the clearances that converted to big scoreboard pressure. Leg speed was the other very noticeable factor as the Cats were not only strong inside but they made Adelaide look slow on the outside and really exposed them. Adelaide really struggled to score particularly after half time being held to their lowest score since round 7.

Geelong has likely got the Brownlow Medallist in its midst as the brilliant Tim Kelly likely chalked up more Brownlow votes. Crows Coach Pyke will be looking for his men to return to the higher scoring realm for this weeks Showdown in a massive game.

WEST COAST – WIN UGLY BUT WIN OVER HAWKS

It was a classic old style footy day at the MCG for the AFL Betting Tips clash between Hawthorn and the Eagles. Our Human Behaviour Model once again correctly picked an upswing in effort from the Hawks after their ordinary effort against the Swans the week prior. We looked to the performance bounce and we got it. The Hawks looked in a lot of trouble down 20 points at the half but then the midfield dominated and the Hawks were able to cover the +9.5 line bet.

West Coast has now won their last 5 games at the MCG the Eagles including last years AFL Grand Final turning around their previous terrible record that included a thumping in the 2015 grand final. This sits West Coast in a nice spot albeit in a not overly convincing manner. For Hawthorn, it is on and forward to 2020.

SYDNEY – AFL FINALS ALIVE AS GOLD COAST LOSE 10 STRAIGHT

The Sydney resurrection continues as they once again produced another peak performance to easily account for the Gold Coast Suns who have now lost 10 in a row. The Swans looked a class above their lacklustre counterparts.  The misery has well and truly set in at the Suns. Whilst coach Stewart Dew attempted to paint the picture that here is “plenty to play for” in the rest of the season it’s hard to believe his players believe that. Losing 10 straight with a largely inexperienced group doesn’t bode well for the back half of the year. They will win a game or two, likely at home but it has been a horrible 10 weeks. The Swans on the other hand are keeping their season alive just one win outside the 8.

COLLINGWOOD – THE WHITE FLAG GOES UP, KANGAROOS ROLLING

Collingwood coach Nathan Buckley was a week early when he declared the Collingwood win against the Bulldogs was “the worst we have played in a long time”. That statement was smashed in the AFL Betting Tips Saturday night clash against the Kangaroos.

Post game Buckley declared “we put up the white flag, and we are embarrassed about how we played tonight”. All of this doesn’t smell great from a side who is in a tough battle to retain a top 2 spot and second favourite for the AFL Premiership. That said they remain a solid $4.25 fav in the AFL Betting Tips premiership market.

On the flip side the Kangaroos have a newfound freedom and sense of confidence under new Coach Shaw. Perhaps their most impressive area though has been the physicality they have brought to the game. They now find themselves in the hunt for an AFL Finals spot.

One thing is for sure the eyes of the footy world will be on the Magpies next Friday night to see the response against the Hawks.

PORT POWER – MORE OF THE SAME AS BULLDOG GET REWARD

RICHMOND – BACK IN THE AFL TOP 8, ST KILDA DOWN AGAIN

There is no doubt that Richmond was screaming out for the bye. They have had significant injuries so far this year and their depth has been tested. Richmond held up relatively well until a month ago when the wheels fell off.

There was nothing pretty about their win over St Kilda. But it was a win that may ignite the second half season assault on the AFL Finals. The Saints weren’t terrible and led at half time but you always felt they were on borrowed time. The win puts the Tigers back in the top 8. Although they have a tough road home they may just get key players back at the right time to launch a claim!! For the Saints it is all a big question mark the path ahead.

BRISBANE – AFL FINALS BOUND AS DEMONS FIZZLE AGAIN

Brisbane Lions have been able to record a strong come from behind win against Melbourne on the weekend. Gun forward Eric Hipwood kicked 5 straight goals late in the 3rd quarter and early in the final term to really assert the Brisbane dominance.

Make no mistake Melbourne came to play but they were unable to sustain their intensity against a side who now has the energy and talent to play in September. Brisbane have a massive game against the GWS next week that is the classic 8 point game with both sides sitting 9-5.

CARLTON – IN A THRILLER OVER DOCKERS

It was a big upset in of final AFL Betting Tips game of the round as Carlton for the second time in 3 games under David Teague have come from a minimum of 5 goals down to win the game.

The Blues last gasp win with a miracle goal from Marc Murphy was full of merit without their skipper Cripps and losing key forward Charlie Curnow early in the game. To fight back from the big margin on one of the toughest road trips in footy gives the long lost Carlton fans a bit of hope.

Ross Lyon described his team as “unrecognisable” in the second quarter as they seemed complacent with the 5 goal break. It is a terrible loss for Fremantle and is reminiscent of the Port Adelaide loss to the Bulldogs.

You have to wonder how a side can improve and play with real belief after the sacking of a senior coach. Watching Carlton you get the feeling they have been released just to play footy and to a large degree just see ball get ball. Teague, along with Shaw at North, have been a breath of fresh air for there respective club.

The Dockers on the other hand continued the theme of the weekend with sides looking to consolidate their positions in the AFL top 4 or top 8 shooting themselves in the foot with GWS, Collingwood, Port and Freo all losing as favs.
