AFL Betting Tips - Lions CrowsAFL Betting Tips – Brisbane versus Adelaide

AFL MATCH OF THE ROUND

It’s a big AFL Betting Tips clash on Saturday afternoon in the match of the round its fifth taking on third as the Brisbane Lions host the Adelaide Crows at the Gabba.

Brisbane have been strong at home this season with the only loss coming at the hands of Collingwood so this will be no easy journey for the Crows. Adelaide have won four in a row and really got their season rolling. Their most recent wIn was in the hotly contested Showdown against Port Adelaide.

It is possible the Crows are due for a downward tick in form off recent strong results and away from home lends itself even more to that possibility.

Brisbane although beaten last week weren’t disgraced and a lot of their fundamentals were up to par, the exception was goal kicking. This game will be a big battle between Brisbane’s ability to score and Adelaide’s ability to defend. Brisbane is a very difficult side to stop with goal runs. But Adelaide’s defense is ranked top two in the last month for scores conceded with only 54 points per game against.

AFL Betting Tips – the key numbers

Adelaide are 4-1 the last five games and have won their last four in a welcome return to form. Most impressive in this form is a shift from their uptempo high scoring game to a strong defensive game. The average points against the Crows the last four games is a low 54 points per game.

Brisbane is a much improved side 2019 and is 4-4 with a 3-1 home record. The Lions can score and rank three for total points for in the AFL. Brisbane comes off an way loss to the Bulldogs and its away record is questionable but they are a different side at home.

Brisbane has not beaten Adelaide since 2012. The last five head to head clashes has Adelaide 5-0 and the average total points per game is a high 185 points per game. The lowest of these is 151 points and the high 216 points. Adelaide has kicked over 100 points in three of the five games and includes a high of 177 points. Three of the five has been at the Gabba so the ground holds no fears for the Crows.

The Crows are still averaging 89 points per game the last four weeks and Brisbane ranks three points for average 92 points per game. The Crows were a peak performance last week versus Port and we will take Brisbane here looking for the bounce at home off last weeks loss.
