Sydney Racing tips Tancred Stakes (former BMW).
The Tancred Stakes is the only 2400m WFA Group 1 race in Australia and is a major race of the Sydney Racing tips Autumn Carnival. Its name is officially the H.E. Tancred Stakes but may be more familiar to the racing public as the The BMW who were sponsors for many years.
Generally the Tancred rounds out the Autumn preparation for the better stayers who are then sent out to get ready for the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival although some in the past have pressed on to either the Sydney Cup (3200m) or the Queen Elizabeth Stakes (2000m).
The Tancred has had many champion horses win including Makybe Diva (2005) Ethereal (2002) Tie The Knot (1999-2000), Might and Power (1998) and Octagonal (1996-97) and earlier champions to win were Kingston Town (1980) Bonecrusher (1986) and Hyperno (1978).
It Is worth noting that there have been 10 winners of the Tancred/Queen Elizabeth Stakes which is quite a feat when in reality many use it as their final Autumn run.
Avilius heads the market for this year’s race with Godolphin looking to back him up before going for a spell.

Sydney Racing tips Tulloch Stakes
The Tulloch Stakes is named after one of the great champions to ever race in Australia is a Group 2 race for 3 year old colts and geldings run over 2000m as part of the Sydney Racing tips Autumn Carnival.
It is used as the traditional lead up to the AJC Derby which is run the following week at Royal Randwick during “The Championships” and the Tulloch/AJC Derby double has been completed 7 times including by the last two winners of the Derby Jon Snow (2017) and Levendi (2018).
So in order to find the Derby winner it certainly pays to watch the Tulloch Stakes as it does unearth strong form analysis.

Emancipation Stakes
The Emancipation Stakes is a Group 2 race for fillies and mares run over 1500m at Rosehill racecourse as part of the Sydney Racing tips Autumn Carnival. It was run over 1600m at Randwick racecourse from 1985-2013 when the venue and distance were altered to accommodate “The Championships” during the first and second Saturdays of April.
There has been a very strange phenomenon to this race over the last few years with Skyerush (2012/13) Catkins (2014/15) and Zanbagh (2016/17) all winning the race back to back a very rare occurrence and the Emancipation was won last year by Prompt Response who is not taking part in the race.

Vinery Stud Stakes
The Vinery Stud Stakes is a Group 1 race for 3 year old fillies over 2000m and is held at Rosehill racecourse. The race starts in a chute so there is a lovely run to the first turn making barriers of little significance and is the key lead up race to the Group 1 Australian Oaks held during The Championships as part of the Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival.
It’s a race where the favourites have fared pretty well with 14 favs winning in the last 35 years at a 40% strike rate. Its difficult to get the key lead in to the race as the last 10 winners have come from 7 different lead in races the only multiple wins have come through the Coolmore Classic.
If you wanted a key element to find the winner of the race it’s the VRC Oaks in the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival and there have been 10 horses win both the VRC Oaks (November) and then go on to win the Vinery Stud (April).
Aristia was the winner of the VRC Oaks last year however is $11 in this years Sydney Racing tips Vinery Stakes market.
