Verry Elleegant just too strong
The Group 1 Ranvet Stakes is what racing is all about, two stars of the turf going head to head in a return bout and trading blows right to the line this was the story of Verry Ellegant and Addeybb in the Group 1 Ranvet. Verry Ellegant turned the tables on Addeyb from the race last year. You would expect some improvement from Addeyb out of the run so its possible he turns the tables in the Queen Elizabeth in 3 weeks time.

Mo’unga a BEST BET winner in Guineas
A BEST BET winner from our Sydney Racing Tips it was with Mo’unga winning the Rosehill Guineas. It was a nightmare watch for any who back Mo’unga in the Randwick Guineas. Badly held up and charged and should have won. However Group 1 redemption was had on Saturday in the Rosehill Guineas. It was the first group 1 for trainer Anabelle Neasham and her attention to detail was crucial to this horses win she travelled the return 600km trip with Mo’unga on Monday to get a gallop on grass with the rest of Sydney rained out.

The big run was Sky Lab 3 wide no cover early then flushed out a long way from home and fought hard to just miss was a big shortener from $16 into $8 for the ATC Derby and will be hard to beat. The filly Montefila ran well and is on track of they elect to run in the Derby.

George Ryder Stakes a 30-1 boilover
It was a classic Glenn Boss ride that stole the Group 1 George Ryder on 30-1 chance Think it Over. He settled back near the rear and while everyone else was busy getting going and making wide runs he simply took the shortest way home. No doubt the two runs of the race were Avillius who was BADLY held up all the way in the straight bumped heavily with Mizzy and was probably a certainty beaten. The other was the stable mate Cascadian settled back unleashed great speed late and looked strong and on track for the Group 1 Doncaster Handicap where it had ZERO luck last year.

Golden Slipper and the Freedman’s
In the old days the “FBI” Freedman Brothers Incorporated could do no wrong the team of brothers winning everything. Then the band disbanded and only recently in 2019 did the “Brothers” start again with Richard and Michael Freedman. The horse Stay Inside was heavily fancied and jockey Berry and blew them away with a huge turn of acceleration in the straight. The two runs out of the race to follow are Anamoe who ran second and is now fav for both the Sires (1400m) and the Champagne (1600m). Artorius was a brilliant run getting home hard and whilst second fav for the Sires it may be more the Champagne stakes to its liking.

Galaxy Stakes – Eduardo makes it 2 in a row
Eduardo was Blaazing Ben Perkins second Sydney Racing Tips select for the last two starts and once again the 9 year old blew them away at 8-1. Eduardo put back to back wins together where he beat the “worlds best sprinter” Nature Strip and then the Group 1 Galaxy where he destroyed them. He has charged from $15 into $7 for the Group 1 TJ smith behind Nature Strip. Dirty Work worked home ok and will be fitter 3rd up into the TJ smith. The roughie Splintex ran well 5 and 6 wide no cover and kept pushing hard, can improve at huge odds into the TJ Smith.
