BRISBANE RACING REVIEW – 5 winners for the day
Group 1 Blazing Ben Perkins was at it again on Saturday with his Expert Brisbane Racing Tips Winter Carnival selections. Bens Brisbane Racing Tips delivered 5 of the 9 winners on the Eagle Farm card.
The Bostonian…$11 and $41 winner last two meetings
This included the $11 Group 1 winner of the Kingsford Cup The Bostonian who is in cracking form. The Bostonian has now delivered two big results for Brisbane Racing Tips subscribers its last two runs. The run prior was the Doomben 10000 which our Expert Brisbane Racing Tips analyst Blaazing Ben rated $21 and paid $41 in its top 5 selections. Then Saturday it was the Kingsford Smith Cup that this super talented horse came home with the good at $11.
The Bostonian – the story of Eagle Farm
The Bostonian was the story of the day In the Brisbane Racing Tips Kingsford Cup at Eagle Farm. It was a sweet ride by Michael Cahill getting the 1×1 seat and he was travelling well and had him under a headlock on the home turn. He ambled up to Irithea and went past comfortably and was pretty much unflustered to the line.
It was a real turnaround in his good track form as he had only seen a good track twice (in New Zealand) and failed miserably both times (beaten 11 and 3 lengths). But he kept his unbeaten run in Brisbane intact with a strong win.
When you look at the beaten brigade there were not too many excuses and the best of the run on’s in the race were Prompt Response (held up in the straight), Ringerdingding (smoking home late ) and I am Excited who sustained a wide run from the 600m.
The Stradbroke…and The Everest?
With the effort of The Bostonian he charged into favouritism for the Brisbane Racing Tips Stradbroke Handicap now at $6.50 on Saturday June 8. A win in the Stradbroke Handicap would see The Bostonian receive a near certain invitation to the $14 The Everest. The Everest will be run during the Sydney Spring Racing Carnival in Spring at Randwick racecourse.
Brisbane Racing Tips – other Racing results
The Group two Brisbane Racing Tips Sires Stakes for the 2 year old’s saw a terrific win to Strasbourg, our top tip from Blaazing Ben Perkins. The blue blood colt who cost $750,000 as a yearling was always heading to the Golden Slipper in the Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival but he failed to get a run.
As such the team directed the energies to the Brisbane Racing Tips Queensland Winter Racing Carnival and now they have been rewarded with some overdue success. The favourite in the race Accession was desperately unlucky. He will be the one to watch in the JJ Atkins Stakes the Group 1 race with Strasbourg at this stage not nominated.
The Candy Man kept on his winning way making it 7 wins in a row and making a big jump from a Class 5 at the Gold Coast one week to the Group 3 Premiers Cup. The Candy Man was in our Brisbane Racing Tips selections. Trainer Barry Baldwin now has his sights set on the Brisbane Cup.
The Candy Man has become a very popular horse among punters for a few reasons. He is a grey and wears the racing colours of another former grey great Gunsynd. Also his name is catchy and the punters have been heard singing “The Candy Man can” after his recent wins (the old Sammy Davis Jnr song).
Brisbane Racing Tips – 3 Star Best of the day gets home
Noble Boy was our 3 star Best Bet of the Day at Eagle Farm last Saturday and duly delivered and has now won 7 of his 8 starts. Queenbeyan trainer Todd Blowes would love to run him in the Stradbroke Handicap on Saturday June 8. However he may pay the price by being conservative in this part of his career, by keeping him racing in his grade. It is quite possible he will be too far down in the weights and order of entry in the Stradbroke to get a start.
The real question for Noble Boy is what sort of races he may target over the Melbourne Racing Tips Spring Carnival. He may have a tilt at the Group 1 VRC Sprint Classic over Melbourne Cup week at Flemington or a race like the Group 1 Toorak Handicap. One thing is for sure on what we saw the horse has the engine to contest these races!
