Fremantle +11.5 and $2.50 win

Our AFL tips and betting got off to a winning start on Easter Friday with North Melbourne getting home 95-43 over St Kilda and covering a +18.5 and win $3.20 investment. We were especially pleased with this result as most pundits had North being flat from the Cairns game. North’s form was trumped by the Gold Coast win over Carlton so that form held up and we commented we though the St Kilda win over Brisbane was average.
AFL tips and betting Saturday saw Collingwood bounce off the Hawthorn loss the week prior and put up a brave effort in losing to GWS 79-95 but covered a +20.5 line. It was 79 points to Collingwood once again showing that forward targets are the problem.
Our other Saturday AFL tips and betting game was Fremantle who enjoyed the expanses of the new Perth Stadium ground in a strong 106-90 win on a +11.5 and $2.50 win investment over Essendon who confirmed our position that they are a mid ranked side at best. The Fremantle total game score of 106 points demonstrating they can score at home but on the road may be another story.
Other results in AFL Round 2 but no bet games were Melbourne 100-74 over Brisbane, Gold Coast two in a row with a 101-67 win over Carlton with Tom Lynch kicking 8 goals. In the 2017 AFL GF replay Adelaide 118-82 win over Richmond in a typical Adelaide Oval high scoring game confirming the Crows will be around the mark and scoring high in 2018.
Also West Coast, as a rule struggling away from home had a big 51 point win over the Western Bulldogs and how the 2016 premiership seems a million miles away for the Dogs.
But the big win in AFL round 2 was the massive win of Port over Sydney in Sydney and without No 1 ruckman Paddy Ryder. We are watching Port closely given their inability to beat top ranked teams and they have done that here, a real positive sign.
AFL tips and betting round 3
AFL Round 3 tips will see a crunch game for old rivals Carlton and Collingwood both sitting on the bottom of the table. Gold Coast play a home game but away because of the Commonwealth Games at Optus Oval so Fremantle receive the benefit of this and Melbourne play North Melbourne and Port play Brisbane in Adelaide.
Other AFL Round 3 tips and betting games will see the game of the round Sydney v GWS in the all-Sydney clash, St Kilda will be looking for a bounce after a poor 0-2 start to the season, Richmond take on Hawthorn in a big one at the MCG and the Bulldogs after a licking looking for a bounce against Essendon.
