AFL tips betting - round 7 reviewAFL tips betting – WINNING WEEKEND

AFL tips betting was a winning weekend for us with two 3 unit Best Bets the standout plays for us. Our analysis and betting methodology using the Human Behaviour Model really kicked in as produced a nice profit for the round in our AFL tips.

Tomorrow we will provide a more extensive overview of the round from a AFL betting perspective. But for now have a read or our AFL tips betting round 7 overview.

You can read more about our HBM Human Behaviour Model that we apply to team sports at https://itipsports.com.au/sports-betting-tips-human-behavior-model/

COLLINGWOOD ASSERT POWER OVER PORT

Port Adelaide failed to handle the AFL betting tips “Friday Night Lights” and were stunned with a Collingwood blitz in the opening term. Collingwood have been a brilliant first quarter team this year and they ramped it up against Port Adelaide and they had 13 scoring shots and took a massive 45 point lead into Q1.

To their credit Port Adelaide responded and got to within 18 points in Q3 but the bridge was too far. Collingwood have handled their tough opening to the year sensationally and have really set themselves up for a serious tilt at the AFL premiership. Their forward line is dynamic and with the supply and variance of player up there they are very difficult to match up on.

Port Adelaide prior to Friday had performed well on their interstate trips with big wins over Melbourne and the Eagles. Coaching staff will be searching for answers as to why they didn’t turn up in the opening quarter on Friday night. One thing you can be assured is they will be primed and ready for redemption in the big Showdown against Adelaide this week.

DEMONS DIG DEEP AT THE “G” OVER HAWKS

Devoid of confidence and form the Demons managed to dig deep and get home in a thriller against the Hawthorn in the AFL betting tips Saturday game at the G. The hunger returned to the Demons and they comprehensively out toughed the Hawks. Easily winning the contested battle they still lacked connection and polish going forward. Still trailing by a couple of goals at half time, but they persisted and took a small lead into Q3 time.

The Hawks as they were destined to do responded and hit the front with back to back goals in the final term. But the Demons dug deep and responded to cling on by 5 points.

It may leave a tiny flicker in the Demons season and they have the Suns next week. The Hawks are now a “middle of the road” side as declared by Clarkson and at 3-4 with the Giants next week their season really resting on a knife edge.

GIANTS CONTINUE TO RISE, SAINTS BACK TO THE PACK

The Saints posted back to back loses for the first time this year in the AFL tips betting season as the Giants put them to the sword in the nations capital. Jeremy Cameron, the Giants spearhead slotted six goals further increasing his lead in the Coleman and reigniting the debate on the 100 goal forward. Could he be the man to do it! The Saints were under pressure and had moments where they challenged but the Giants are just to strong.

The Giants have handled themselves especially well with their two captains sidelined and look on course for a top 4 finish. The Saints now sit at 4-3 with a big fortnight ahead against the two grand finalists from last year, the Eagles and Collingwood.

THE LIONS ROARING AT THE GABBA

It was 10 years between drinks in the AFL tips betting game since the Lions posted their last win versus Sydney but win they did. That makes its three from four this year at Brisbane’s home ground the “Gabbatoir” and you sense the Lions are really on the move. It was old fashioned wet weather footy and Brisbane generally play this style of footy well because of the heavy dew that can settle on the ground.

Sydney were the best to adjust turning a 4 goal deficit into 2 point deficit at half time then hit the lead early in the third term. But from that point the Lions flicked the switched and smashed Sydney around the ground. Coach Fagan’s men are starting to right some wrongs of the past stopping long losing runs. At 5-2 finals beckon forh the young Lions. For Sydney they have real issues and are clearly rebuilding with no Buddy but looking to the future.

DOGS MAUL THE TIGERS

A terrific AFL tips betting 3 star Best Bet in this game with the Bulldogs home 99-52. Richmond had been on the big three game peak performance run and it was a classic bet play under our Human Behaviour Model.
The Western Bulldogs were under pressure in the AFL tips betting game against season staring at five straight losses. They came out snarling with a champagne performance that made the Tigers look second rate.

It was evident the Dogs were on from the start with the Dogs their speed of ball movement going. Young Bulldog forward Naughtons patch of 3 goals had to be seen to be believed and he was a man mountain dragging in big marks. This prompted Damien Hardwick to exclaim “Jesus Christ would’ve had trouble back there on him tonight”…sorry Israel Folau!

It was the big game the 19 year old needed after being goal less his last two games and just three goals in five weeks. The Bulldogs now claw their way back to a 3-4 start and one gets the feeling if they can produce that style of quick footy more consistently they could really make a push to the top 8.

The Tigers were on the back of a three game winning streak and without key senior players the effort told. The Tiger cupboard was bare when they needed to work harder defensively.. The Bulldogs will have to bring this style of footy in the next little bit to keep their season alive as they have Brisbane and the Cats in the next couple of weeks

WEST COAST GET IT DONE SUNS NOT DISGRACED

The stop start season in the AFL tips betting season continued for the defending premier the West Coast Eagles doing just enough to take the points against the Suns. They are still failing to give any sort of confidence that they are a serious player this year.

The win put them ahead on the win loss count but that was on the back of two hidings in a row with the combined total of 100 points. Coach Adam Simpson has been searching for a stronger intensity to his side. They were on their way with a 39 point buffer into half time and if they were flying it was a 100 point win.

Dews men responded to their coaches demands at half time and in time on in the final term they had cut the margin to 11 points. Simpson is selling to his side that they will continue to improve with players coming of somewhat interrupted pre seasons, but the time is now to start gelling. Their next month is (Saints, Melbourne, Crows and Western Bulldogs) will be extremely telling.

KEEP DIGGING BLUES IT’S A LONG WAY DOWN!

North Melbourne was a classic Human Behaviour win bet for as as we look to the bounce in performance versus the Blues who had the peak extended performance run.

But a new low for the Blues in AFL tips betting 2019. Carlton coach Bolton needs to understand that footy supporters don’t want to hear how their side has “improved” when they get beaten by 10 goals. When prompted post game Bolton responded “don’t blur one game with what a season is because there is lots of signs of progress”. Bolton needs to get a grip, this is the very time he needs to stand up and acknowledge what his side dished up against the bottom of the barrel Kangaroos is totally unacceptable. But he gave them an out ……AGAIN.

The Kangaroos have been copping it from every angle. When former champions of the club voice their disapproval and their confusion on what North Melbourne footy club stands for it brings another layer of pressure. They responded in the best possible way the Kangaroos were ferocious and bullied the Blues into submission.

It’s far from a turnaround point for the Kangaroos but it was a foot in the right direction. Carlton have Collingwood GWS and St Kilda in the next three weeks and good luck with that Brendon. we really hope Bolton has that shovel with him to keep digging for the “improvements”. The Blues will need to bounce hard.

CATS REIGN SUPREME AS BOMBERS ARE SUNK

A really nice AFL tip betting win for us and a 3 unit Best Bet with Geelong getting home comfortably 86-54. Essendon had been on a powerful four game peak performance run and this was another classic itipsports AFL Human Behaviour play for us.
Geelong keep on keeping on and continue to sit pretty on to of the AFL tips betting ladder. The Cats are distributing the workload, they are playing as one and they have averaged 9 goal kickers a match over 7 rounds making them very difficult to defend against.

On the flip side they are defending like their life depends on it keeping the “high octane” Bombers to only 36 points by Q3 time (final 54 points). This match showed the Bombers are a few steps behind the top teams when they can’t get their game going. The Cats really closed down the Bombers run and that will be the challenge for Worsfold.

Looking ahead its hard to see when the next Cats defeat will come as they have North Melbourne, Bulldogs, Suns and Swans in the next month. Geelong are the real deal and have charged into $4 equal favourite for the flag with the Pies. We look for an Essendon bounce off this loss.

CROWS WIN UGLY IN BRUISING BATTLE WITH THE DOCKERS

To finish the AFL tip betting Round 7 the Crows and Dockers did battle. It was a win bet for us at $1.35 but we missed the line by four points in the low scoring 51-34 win.
Not one for the highlight reel (ok Eddie’s goal an exception). But in a game that had three goals to half time (no goal kicked by either side in the second quarter) it was an old fashioned slugfest. Crows co captain Tex Walker claimed was one of the hardest games of AFL he has ever been involved with.

As terrible a spectacle as it was in the first half the second half didn’t reach any great heights. But when you allowed yourself to be absorbed into the brutality of the contest that was being played it really did become compelling to watch.

The physical fallout from this game will be interesting from a betting perspective. Recovery will be the biggest training drill this week but this was a hugely energy sapping game. It is sure to have repercussions at some point and our analysts are sure to find the right time to use it to our advantage. The Crows take on the Power in the big Showdown in Adelaide next week and the Dockers host the Tigers who were touched up at the weekend
