SACK YOUR COACH, GET A WIN
AFL Betting Tips – Season 2019
This is one of the most stunning AFL Betting Tips seasons in recent memory. We have only five games left and we seem not much clearer on what the AFL Finals 2019 shape will take. Here are some headline numbes:
- 12 teams still in with a hope of playing AFL Finals 2019
- 7 sides who could make the AFL top 4
- 5 sides who are in the race of the AFL top 2
- 3 sides that have bounced hard after sacking Coaches
This years AFL Grand Final race and AFL Premiership is more so than ever going to be won by the side who puts together a good month of footy in September. This is much like the Adelaide Crows of ’97/98 or the Western Bulldogs of 2016.
Sit back and enjoy the show as there are still many more twists and turns in AFL Betting Tips 2019.

Sack your Coach and get the big bounce
St Kilda sacked (he resigned!) coach Alan Richardson during the week, Brett Ratten takes the chair and guess what…they become a different side. Shows how much this game is played between the ears rather than anything else.
St Kilda followed in the footsteps of Carlton and North Melbourne and made a move at the top with immediate results. It does beg the question how the hell this happens and if other side may do the same thing. So here are the answers:
1. It is a release from the pressure cooker environment for the players and staff and they relish with a new found freedom as a result.
2. We do not think there will be further in season changes but are predicting possible changes to at least 2 other AFL sides post season if they miss the top 8.
The significant change here is that in the case of all three sides, St Kilda, North and Carlton, all three changes were badly needed. Scott had been at North for a million years and his voice was shot. Richardson and Bolton, well, lets just say the jury was out whether they new what they were doing! Very good assistant coaches but as senior coaches, no thank you.
Teague and Shaw are doing great jobs as fill in Senior Coaches. However we would advocate for all 3 clubs to do exhaustive interviews to fund their best fit. It may well be Teague, Shaw and Ratten for that matter. But don’t fall for the “pressure valve release” trap of the current environment. Only do this after interview all and sundry.
