AFL Friday night Round 23 – Collingwood versus Essendon
The final AFL Betting Tips round 23 begins with a bang as two AFL finals qualified teams in Collingwood and Essendon go head to head in a Friday night classic at the MCG.
Collingwood looked like they had turned a corner last week. After a few weeks of just going they really hit their straps in Adelaide and if they can reproduce that in the coming weeks and get some players back they may just make a dent in the AFL Finals.
If Collingwood win they can finish as high as 4th if Richmond or West Coast lose but most likely finish 5th and host the Western Bulldogs/Port/Hawthorn/Adelaide at the MCG in week 1 of the AFL Finals.
Essendon after a wobbly fortnight that saw many calling for Worsfolds head put together a solid effort in a big peak performance in the West to take out the Dockers. If Essendon win they can finish as high as 6th (if Giants were upset by the Suns) but most likely they finish 8th and take on Collingwood again in week 1 of the AFL Finals.
