is back for its second season in a revised format. 4 teams, the Bolts, Rampage, Flyers and Deadly will compete as composite sides via a draft process for the round robin games over one night in what promises to be a feast of AFL for the diehards.

Patrick Dangerfield will captain the Bolts, Jack Riewoldt the Rampage, Nathan Fyfe the Flyers and Eddie Betts will captain an all-indigenous the Deadly.

It is a shortened version of the AFL, call it the BBL or Big Bash of the AFL and we can only assume it is targeted at the same market…short sharp and flash. Maybe something the AFL can take overseas on day?

The AFLX will play 2 x 10 minute halves with no time on, it will have 8 players on the ground and 6 interchange and will include super goals. To be fair lets see how it goes before given it a rating.
