Saturday Racing Tips – Review
Here is a quick snapshot of the weekend for our Melbourne Racing Tips from Moonee Valley in Saturday Racing Tips Review as we approach the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival. We also review Sydney Racing Tips from Randwick racecourse.
Melbourne Racing Tips – another 7 winners from Pete Brinky
It was a very windy day at The Valley and you had little hope covering ground with no cover, you needed to either lead (rail out 4m) or have cover and get a nice run through.
Our man Pete Brinky was on fire with our Expert Melbourne Racing Tips from Moonee Valley racecourse with Saturday Racing Tips. He tipped 7 of the 9 winners in a fantastic performance including his 3 Unit Best Bet Assertive Approach ($2.70) leading all of the way and winning well. Assertive Approach was able to control things in front kicked for home and a late flurry from Bons Away would’ve had punters a little worried but clung on to win.
Pete also had 3 of his 2 Unit Strong Tips win with Algaddon Miss ($3.30) tracking in behind speed having a great run, peeled around them in the straight and went on for easy win. Another one was Dabiyr ($3.40) who was a dual acceptor (Syd/Melb) they made the right choice! Dabiyr was promoted to a 2 unit Strong Bet in our Saturday Late Mail Racing Tips to subscribers. The final 2 Unit Strong Bet was Tavisan ($2.40) was very heavily backed bounced led and destroyed them was never in any danger.
He also found Junipal ($6.50) who had a sweet run throughout and finished powerfully in the straight as a 1 Unit Value bet. Romancer ($2.90) was another winner for Pete stalked the lead and finished to well was never really in any danger. Condos Express ($3.70) rounded out our Melbourne Racing Tips winners for the day, settled a lot closer running 4th and was trucking into it on the turn, powered away for soft win, loves the Valley.
Sydney Racing Tips Randwick – 5 winners including a 13-1 pop
Here is a review of our Sydney Racing Tips at Randwick as the Sydney Spring Racing Carnival heated up with the running of the Group 1 Winx Stakes. We were on a good 4 racing surface and its fair to say being closer to the speed was an advantage on the day!
Our man Blaazing Ben Perkins had 5 winners for the day including $13 Sweet Deal taking out the last race on the program. We refer to Ben as aka Mr Longshot as so it was this week (as it was last week with 60-1 winner In Our Bennie). Our man Blaazing Ben had in our Saturday Sydney Racing tips form sheet Sweet Deal rated a $6 chance so it certainly was a “sweet deal” winning at $13l!!! Sweet Deal ($13) sat up outside the lead and put them away in the straight, it was another great Nash Rawiller ride.
Sydney Racing Tips – Our Candidate and Libertini “serious” horses
It was a real mix of favs and roughies in our Randwick Racing Tips finding True Detective ($2.30) who ended up winning on protest. Our Candidate ($2) was another easy winner for and went to the line jogging. We like Our Candidate and looks like there is a serious race in this horse at this distance range. Libertini ($1.50) was a heavy betting plunge and treated them with contempt bolting in. It is another that we are contemplating the “serious” label. It may be too early yet but they are talking the Sydney Racing Tips The Everest. We found Deprived ($3.20) who settled 5th had the gun run, got split at the 250m and flashed through to win. Sweet Deal ($13) was another winner for Blaazing Ben sat up outside the lead and put them away in the straight-it was another great Nash Rawiller ride.
WINX STAKES – An upset for sure at 40-1!
Not exactly what we were expecting in the first Sydney Group 1 of the Sydney Spring Racing Carnival season as a 40-1 outsider in the Sydney Racing Tips Group 1 Winx Stakes. Samadoubt the roughie was able to jump straight to the lead and ran them along hard. He was first up but did put in a searching 6 length trial win leading. It was a bold performance lets look at how a few of the fancies performed
AVILIUS – sat second last straightened 8 lengths off the lead motored home the last 200m was a very nice return at 1400m (first time it had been 1st up at anything below 1600m). Really found the line its Melbourne Racing Tips Cox Plate Campaign and is well on target
HAPPY CLAPPER – was probably entitled to win, had the armchair ride 1×1 running 4th peeled out at the top of the straight and was more a grinding effort than turn of speed. Run was ok but entitled to win.
VERRY ELLEGANT – shocker, over raced midrace, tried to improve 3 wide at the 600m was pushed wider on the turn by Avilius and didn’t finish it off at all. Await the vet report to see if any issues, there must have been something too bad to believe.
Saturday Racing Tips – This Week Memsie Stakes
Our Melbourne Racing Tips Spring Carnival really starts to hot up this week with the running of the Group 1 Memsie Stakes at Caulfield Racecourse. Mystic Journey will be missing now being saved for the Group 1 Makybe Diva stakes at Flemington September 14.
The Memsie will now see Alizee the favourite and we may see Brutal, the Sydney Racing Tips Doncaster Handicap winner resume here as well.
We also have the running of the Group 3 H.D.F McNeil Stakes for the 3 year olds at set weights and penalties. The Group 3 The Heath Stakes over 1100m for the 4 year olds and upward sprinters and the Group 3 W.W. Cockram Stakes at set weights and penalties run over 1200m for the mares.
In our Sydney Saturday Racing Tips meeting we head to Rosehill Gardens racecourse and the Group 3 San Domenico Stakes Day for the 3 year old’s over 1100m with set weights and penalties. We also the running also of the Sydney Spring Racing Tips Group 3 Ming Dynasty for the 3yo a quality over 1400m and the Group 3 Premiers Cup a quality handicap over 1900m as well to round out the Sydney Racing Tips program this Saturday.
