Mount Popa winner of Mornington Cup out to the paddock for the Caulfield Cup

Saturday Top Racing Tips review

What a shame with the postponement of the Sydney Racing Tips Golden Slipper meeting at Rosehill last Saturday because of the deluge of rain across Sydney. The result is that the remaining meetings of the Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival are all pushed back a week so we get this weeks Golden Slipper Racing meeting this Super Saturday instead. 5 Group 5 races across the Saturday and let’s hope the rain subsides for Saturday Sydney Racing Tips Golden Slipper day.

Melbourne Racing Tips review

Expert Melbourne Racing Tips analyst Pete Brinky landed 7 winners in a massive day at the Mornington Cup meeting. The two significant wins were of Strong Bet first selection winners Dom to Shoot winning the Guineas and Hawkes trained Mount Popa winning the Mornington Cup.

Dom To Shoot Guineas win
Dom To Shoot chalked up a well deserved win in the Mornington Guineas. He was a big run in the CS Hayes Stakes at huge odds. 2 runs ago and they added the blinkers for the Australian Guineas last start he failed badly over racing and dropped out like a pricked balloon. They changed the gear to winkers and rode him quiet in the Mornington Guineas for a great result and it was another Willy Pyke special finishing strongly in the nick of time. The question is where does he go now? He has had three runs back from a short let up and we expect to see him back in the Spring.

Mount Popa now qualified for Caulfield Cup
It’s time for the paddock for Mornington Cup winner Mount Popa. It is hard to get a guide on the quality of the race as it was a walk fest (they ran 8 seconds outside the race record). However the win is a win and MOST importantly guarantees entry into the $5 million Caulfield Cup during the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival. This is a big advantage as the Hawkes stable can now map out the plan they want the horse to have without needing to have him more forward than they would like to qualify.

Adelaide Racing Tips  – 70-1 second place just misses

With the Adelaide Racing Tips Carnival just around the corner we thought we would tell you a little bit about our Adelaide Racing Tips Expert analyst Value Victor. Value Victor has been a student of form for well over 20 years, he applies a “value” strategy across his selections identifying horses who are mispriced by the market…sometimes they are SIGNIFICANTLY mispriced.

Value Victor supplies 2 selections per race (generally a win bet and each way bet, on occasions there will be a save win bet instead of each way) along with his Quadrella selections. Our Adelaide Racing Tips through Value Victor has the belief that the horse racing markets have become far to dominated by the “quant” analysts. This is by those who use computer generated programmes to arrive at a horses chances. These analysts are number crunches who feed all different stats into their computers to determine the possible outcome of the race.

What has been lost over the last 20 years in the gambling world is the “art” of identifying when a horse is likely to improve, Value Victor is NOT one of these computer type analysts in fact he is the absolute opposite, he uses the art of video watching and hard form dissemination using his suite of historical performance factors to break down whether a horse is on an “upward” “downward” or “static” trajectory.

In doing so he is able to unlock the Value that the market can not see-in its most basic form Value Victor works very hard at determining what a horse is LIKELY to do next start as opposed to paying to much attention to what it DID last start.

Saturday Adelaide Racing Tips – Best Bets last Saturday

Lets look at the 2 BEST BETS from Saturday Adelaide Racing Tips at Morphettville and dissect:

AR RACE 6 – N2 HYPERSONIC 3 unit BEST BET ($2.60)
“Looks PERFECTLY placed here and looks a crazy price in the markets, was pretty solid resuming in nice race and finds a big grade drop here. Was right there with Viduka and Midnight Storm last run until the 100m the drop back to 1000m looks ideal and the addition of winkers a nice plus.”
Firstly Hypersonic was as much as $9.50 and it was smashed late in the markets starting $4.40 (we know many subscribers got the $9-$9.50). Quite simply the bookies got it wrong as did a majority of the market. The horse had a starting price profile of $4.40 at its start before that was first up over 1200m in a rating 68 handicap here it was in this race second up (fitter) at a more desirable journey (1000m) perfectly drawn and against SIGNIFICANTLY weaker opposition.

“Looks to get its chance to stick its neck out at the right stage, has been beaten less than 1 length COMBINED at its last 3 defeats. Was a HUGE run behind Viduka last run, raced 3 4 and 5 wide no cover and just missed-that gives big fitness kick, there is a small risk that the horse has “forgotten” how to win but last start was to big to ignore.”
Once again more value was had here as much as $3.20 bet early but the horse was very strong at its start before, if you could bring yourself to look past its “non winner” tag the last few starts it absolutely looked the one. Sat outside the lead and dominated. There was some significant value as well for subscribers who like to “multi” up the best bets we had the Hypersonic/Midnight Storm multi priced at $5.46…..the market bet as much as $30-1 that’s nice value.

Adelaide Racing – big Value 70-1 chance runs second

Another example to look at is Adelaide Race 9 from the weekend. Whilst it didn’t produce the “winner” it clearly displayed the value with the prices on offer and how at times you can extract value without backing the outright winner. We had two Adelaide Racing Tips in Race 9 and both were deep value opportunities that nearly resulted in a big pay day. With the place dividends still big outcomes on each way betting. Our two selections were:

N4 MIROKU 2 unit Strong Bet ($4.80)
Was probably a bit unsuited last run back to 1200m the 1400m looks a much more desired distance range. Chased home fairly in a nice race (we expect Midnight Storm and co to run well earlier on) This is a significant grade drop and that will assist its winning hopes.
N5 BAR GEM 1 unit Each Way ($9.50)
Is really ready to challenge here-at its absolute pet distance range (5 for 2-1-1) and was absolutely poleaxed midrace last run in a total forget effort. Is sure to be at its prime fitness level here having its 5th run back they have removed the blinkers to so its possible settles back from the bad draw.
These horses both ran super races Miroku ($14) was a big overs play running third after leading them up and Bar Gem (started $26 but as much as $71 was bet) settled last after bombing start improved midrace and charged late just missing wins in another 30m. What some of our subscribers did was take the 4 selections Value Victor had for the race from the Quadrella tips and boxed them in a trifecta, for a cost of $24 it returned a juicy $676!!!!
