Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival 2016 Stable Stars
iTipsports Melbourne racing form analyst Pete Brinky has composed his Spring Stable Stars for the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival 2016. The stable has been compiled based on previous form in the Autumn Melbourne and Sydney Spring Racing Carnivals 2016 and the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival 2015 and takes into account likely lead up races.

As far as a betting strategy is concerned, the Futures market bet types are not without its risks. Injury, form and fitness all play key roles this far out from the race and in most instances if a horse does not run in the race you often lose your investment.

Caulfield Cup Stable 2016 –

Sticking with the class 3yr olds from previous season.
Tavago – Kiwi who spaced the field in the Australian Derby in the Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival 2016 on a soft track.  Been spelling in Australia since with trainer (Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young) setting up stables here. Possible lead up races Makybe Diva Stakes (1600m) and Turnbull Stakes (2000m) during the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival 2016.
Tarzino – VRC Derby winner in the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival 2015 and should develop into a powerful 4 year old this coming Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival 2016.  Was ridden a bit upside down in Australian Derby during the Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival 2016 when beaten favourite. The possible lead up races may include Makybe Diva Stakes (1600m) at Flemington Racecourse, Underwood Stakes (1800m) at Caulfield Racecourse as part of the Caulfield Spring Racing Carnival or the Turnbull Stakes (2000m) on Sunday 2nd October also at Flemington Racecourse.
Jameka- VRC Oaks winner last season in the wet and has also been competitive at top level against the best colts and geldings.  Looks ideal Caulfield Cup type as part of the Caulfield Spring Racing Carnival 2016. Possible lead up races P.B. Lawrence (1400m) Naturalism (2000m) & Turnbull (2000m).
Sofia Rosa – Tough Kiwi Filly rising four and looks good chance on Australian Oaks win in the Melbourne Autumn Racing Carnival 2016. Possible first up run in NZ and should be a leading contender in the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival 2016.

WS Cox Plate Stable 2016 –
Winx – It’s hard to go past Winx if she makes it to WS Cox Plate 2016 at Moonee Valley as part of the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival 2016. Class mare who spaced them in last years WS Cox Plate 2015 and likely to be the star of the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival 2016.
Yankee Rose – A brilliant 2yr old filly in the Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival 2015 who ran unbelievable second in Golden Slipper when first up.  Went on to win Sires before spelling and WS Cox Plate 2016 in mind in the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival 2016.  Will get in with 47.5kg and can test the older horses.  The proposed lead up races all in Sydney kicking off with the G2 Silver Shadow.

Emirates Melbourne Cup Stable 2016 –

Tarzino – Our top pick of the locals for the 2016 Emirates Melbourne Cup as part of the Melbourne Cup Week Carnival 2016 and looks like he will stay all day.  Easy winner of 2015 VRC Derby at the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival 2015 and should have matured into a nice 4yr old by the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival 2016.
Signoff – Has had his fair share of problems but if can remain sound, looks a nice Melbourne Cup horse during this years Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival 2016.  Bolted in in Adelaide Cup 2016 before a spell so the 3200m of the Emirates Melbourne Cup 2016 won’t be a problem.
Max Dynamite – An international raider who looked unlucky in last years Melbourne Cup and if brings similar form with him this year, will prove hard to hold out in this years Emirates Melbourne Cup 2016 during the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival 2016.
Order Of St George – Is an interesting overseas raider from the Aiden O’Brien stable.  Won the Irish St Leger by 11 lengths before going into quarantine with the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival in mind. Successful Australian owner Lloyd Williams who had had great success over the years in the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival 2016 has bought into him. Is currently on the top line of betting for the Melbourne Cup. Will be interesting what lead up races are scheduled prior the big one.
Werther – Former Kiwi who won 2015 Qld Derby during the Queensland Winter Racing Carnival 2015, before going to Hong Kong and winning multiple Group 1 races there.  Looks class type who can measure up for this year’s Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival 2016 and proven in Australia before.
