About Magic Millions
The Magic Millions meeting was born in 1987 and is now a meeting worth $9.5 million with the Magic Millions 2yo Classic and the Magic Millions 3yo Guineas both worth prize money of $2 million each. The main race of the day of course is the Magic Millions 2 year old Classic over 1200m. The Magic Millions Classic is the third largest two year old prize money race in Australia after the Golden Slipper and the Blue Diamond that are both run as part of the Autumn Racing Carnivals in Melbourne and Sydney.
Magic Millions Tips
Our Magic Millions tips will also focus on the big 3 year old Guineas over 1400m race where the smart Outback Barbie has been installed as a tight $2.50 favourtie. The other big Gold Coast racing tips races are the $1 million Magic Millions Trophy over 2200m, the Magic Millions Snippets sprint where Houtzen is a $1.80 favourite, the Magic Millions Cup and the Magic Millions Mares and Fillies race over 1300m.
There will 16 two year olds that contest the big Gold Coast Magic Millions two year old race and it is currently $5.50 the field with the current favourite the Cummings trained Exhilirates followed by the unbeaten Unite and Conquer and Czarson. However these two have both drawn “the carpark” and as such have both been slight drifters out to $6.00.
It is worth keeping in mind both 2017 winner Houtzen and last years winner Sunlight both drew wide and won…good horses win from any barrier. The Magic Millions meeting this Saturday at Gold Coast is a fantastic entrée to the Autumn Winter Racing Carnivals in Melbourne and Sydney and the Magic Millions two year old race will give us a great guide to the likely hopes for the Golden Slipper and Blue Diamond.
