Sydney Racing Tips – Peltzer looks a star

In Sydney Saturday Racing Tips Peltzer was dominant again at Randwick remaining undefeated from his 3 race starts. Trainer Gerald Ryan paints a pretty picture of him heading into the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival. Saturdays win was dominant, he sat on pace kicked strongly for home and had a nice turn of acceleration being throttled down on the line for 5 length win. The horse chasing him Overlord is heading to the Group 1 JJ Atkins in the Brisbane Spring Racing Carnival while Ryan is going to put Peltzer away and allow him to go after the top shelf talent in his 3 year old season. This will be against the likes of Golden Slipper winner Farnham and the Sires and Champagne winner Kings Legacy. The question will be do they stay in Sydney with the new money on offer for a Golden Rose or try him in Melbourne for the Melbourne racing tips Caulfield Guineas.

Brisbane Racing Tips – Blaazing Ben our Mr Longshot

Victorem had its price slashed from $26 into $9 for the Brisbane Racing Tips Stradbroke Handicap after his big win against key Stradbroke contenders in the Tab Victory Stakes.

Brisbane Racing – Rothfire looks the one

Only the condition of the track at the Gold Coast in March is what separates smart Colt Rothfire from an undefeated record according to pilot Jim Byrne. Rothfire had his first run back on the weekend since that defeat and couldn’t have been more impressive and charged into the $4 fav for the Brisbane Racing Tips Group 1 JJ Atkins Stakes. Post race Byrne was super confident saying the horse would be even better at 1400m with that run under his belt and reinforced he should be undefeated bar for the slow Gold Coast track. It was a big call for trainer Robbie Heathcote not to head to Sydney after winning his first four but the patience may be rewarded with a Group 1 in the coming weeks.

Kinane – back to the drawing board

Without doubt the big flop on the Saturday was Kinane. After his dominating win in the Frank Packer Plate that saw an offer of close to $3 million refused from Hong Kong, everyone was looking for him to come out with that same acceleration and blow them away. Got a long way back and was still 8 lengths off them turning however the horse really resented when the right hand whip was applied and swished the tail badly. He made nice ground and was still a nice run and provided they don’t use the whip in the right hand probably comes out and wins the Brisbane Racing Tips Rough Habit Plate in a fortnight. However we were just expecting more from the “ $3 million horse”.
