iTipsports Melbourne Cup Spring Carnival Futures Report – Sept 2013

The Melbourne Cup Carnival Futures Market can be a lucrative place to invest funds in Racing. It is not without its risks…investing in races such as the Melbourne Cup, Caulfield Cup, Cox Plate and the like which are 4-6 weeks away from being run can see plenty go wrong with horses injury and form. But…if you get it right, there are good returns as in many cases horses are well over the odds now that they will be on race day. Pete Brinky, through his Melbourne form, has a handle on a broad range of horses that are currently in work or racing, preparing for the Carnival and a tilt at the high return Cups and main races. We are pleased to provide you our “Special” Melbourne Cup Spring Carnival Futures Market Report and will give a running commentary that will expand as we get closer to the big races. We have provided with current odds, thanks to Sportsbet, and a number of recommendations that you can consider today. We suggest, if you want to be involved, that you create a bank with a level that you are comfortable of investing into and over the course of the next 4-6 weeks, top up on our recommendation over this period.

Good Luck and thank for following iTIpsports Melbourne Spring Carnival Racing and you can JOIN NOW Pete Brinky Melbourne Racing for $50 per month or $20 for a day pass if you wish to get the “good oil” each and every Saturday for the Carnival.

Melbourne Cup 2013

Without taking into account internationals at this stage, thinking it looks like 2 strong local hopes. Puissance de Lune has been favourite since last years carnival when he looked to be a future staying star. Nothing has happened so far this campaign to say he still can’t win. However at $5.50 doesn’t offer any value. Note that the favourite on race day is normally $4 plus and still over 6 weeks to go.

Fiorente looks to be the one ticking all the boxes after placing in last years Cup and 1 year on under the care of Waterhouse after coming from O/S should prove harder to beat than last year. Currently $8 and if continues in current form will run shorter than that on the day. Always had an opinion of Ethiopia and if takes his place on the first Tuesday in November could be the value runner at $26

Caulfield Cup 2013

As with the Melbourne Cup I am leaving the internationals out at this stage. With this in mind I have come up with Hawkspur and Royal Descent. The previous was emphatic last time in Sydney at second run in after winning QLD Derby earlier in year. Jockey and stable are sprucing him at the minute. The stable mate Royal Descent blew her rivals away in AJC Oaks and was terrific first up. At $8 and $10 respectively couldn’t see them being much longer on day. Fiorente is a chance at $15 but prefer in Melbourne Cup. Sneak a Peak at $41 offers value.

Cox Plate 2013

Can’t offer much value here, thinking unless a 3yr old super star comes on the scene in the next few weeks it is a 2 horse race between Atlantic Jewel and Puissance de Lune. Atlantic Jewel could finish up being odds on so the $3.20 on offer now could be value. If that doesn’t appeal, I would suggest take some of the $7 on offer about Puissance de Lune. As in the 2 other majors don’t discard Fiorente at $10.

Pete Brinky Cox Plate 2013Futures Market ideas:
