FIREBURN WHAT A GOLDEN SLIPPER WIN

FIREBURN WINS THE GOLDEN SLIPPER 2022 AT 12-1

Golden Slipper Day 2022 was another massive day of Saturday Sydney Racing Tips. Normally the hard luck stories out of the Golden Slipper are those that finished back in the ruck….not the winner!! It was one of the more amazing Golden Wlipper wins since Belle De Juor missed the start by many lengths to win. Fireburn was poleaxed TWICE in the run and lost probably 5 lengths in total before balancing up and steaming to a BIG victory. This is a serious horse, no doubt a Guineas type horse for the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival. 12-1 was a nice return for our top selection for the Slipper.

SPECIAL REPORT – HOW TO BACK THE SLIPPER WINNER

Our historical strategic guide “How to back the Golden Slipper Winner” was sent to subscribers during the week. It involves backing last start winners into the Slipper. It resulted in a 50% profit return for those that followed this strategy. There were 8 last start winners and when evenly staked with the $12 winner it was an 8 unit investment for a 12 unit return. It is worth noting the last start winners produced the trifecta ($736 for a full unit) and the First 4 ($8219 for full unit). As you can see historical data can be a nice pointer to a profitable play in the feature 2 year old. Also worth noting of the 8 last start winners, 7 of them filled the first 9 places home in the Slipper.

VERRY ELLEEGANT HAS COLOURS LOWERED

This wasn’t necessarily a poor effort by Verry Elleegant…this was a superior wet track display by Montefilia who is a SERIOUS racehorse. She has matured exceptionally we REALLY liked her heading into the Caulfield Cup but we were one spring to early. She has matured and is now clearly at her best. She will go to battle with Verry Elleegant in the Queen Elizabeth Stakes. But it’s the first Tuesday in November where we want to be on her ($34 into $21 for the Melbourne Cup)

ANAMOE GETS TO HIS TRIP

Finally we saw the real Anamoe with the stretching out to the 2000m for the first time since the Cox Plate and he was simply a class above. A real decision now for Cummings as he seems intent on the Queen Elizabeth being the main goal but he may run in either the Tancred or the Derby in between.

MAZU BEST BET WINNER

It was never in any doubt for our 3 UNIT BEST BEST at Rosehill Mazu and a nice winner. It had the lovely trailing run in behind the speed they fanned it got great run through and destroyed them made it 4 wins straight and is flying.

ZAAKI AND KAH TAKE THE ALL STAR MILE

It was the All Star Mile at Flemington and barrier 15 looked like it could have presented some problems for Zaaki. But our girl Jamie Kah in her usual composed way pressed the button early and wasn’t scared to go hard for the outside lead spot. Got some type of midrace breather but then just kept running at sustained speed drawing clear for dominant win. He’s spot on for the Queen Elizabeth which is shaping as the race of the autumn with Montefilia, Zaaki, Verry Elleegant, Anamoe all heading there. I’m Thunderstruck was terrific heading on to the Doncaster from here, Icebath was the other run worth following wide and battled on ok worth a look at $17 for the Doncaster.
