The Stradbroke Handicap returns to Eagle Farm after some years at Doomben (1350) due to the renovations of the Eagle Farm track. The Stradbroke was first run in 1890 and was named in the honour of Lord Stradbroke. The Stradbroke has two key lead in races being the Doomben 10,000 and the BTC Cup however those races are both at Weight for Age. Horses then revert from WFA racing to Set Weight races. They plummet dramatically in the weights under the handicap conditions and stunning peak performances can be achieved.
