Adelaide Cup tips

Our Adelaide Racing tips features the Group 2 Adelaide Cup this week and our expert Adelaide Racing tips come from our analyst “Value Victor” who will provide Adelaide Cup tips for the big holiday Monday meeting.

Value Victor has been conducting and providing analysis on Adelaide racing tips for the past 20 years by doing extensive video work and anlaysis for a professional racing syndicate specialising on epxert Adelaide Racing tips and this Monday at Morphettville racecourse Adelaide Cup racing tips will be the major feature of the day.

The Adelaide Cup is a handicap event raced over 3200m and it was formally a group 1 event however due to prize money allocation and overall strength of the race it became a Group 2 in 2007.

Prior to being moved to March (due to washouts) the Adelaide Cup was run in May and historically had been a good guide to the Melbourne cup with many Adelaide Cup winners going on to contest and run well or win the Melbourne Cup.

The Adelaide Cup favourite Bondeiger is on trial at the journey but he is no “lone ranger” in that space. Only four of the 20 horse field have raced over the 3200m and only one Aloft is a 3200m winner (overseas). Bondeiger was very impressive winning the Lord Reims, the traditional lead up to the Adelaide Cup he sat second last and won eased down. He gives the indication he can run the trip and gets in with 54 kgs. He carries the Laurence Eales colours that Shocking carried to victory in the Melbourne Cup.

The Tasmanian Eastender can have done no more, he has won his last four with two of those at Group 3 level but he has drawn the “car park” in 18 so “Froggy Newitt” will have to be at his best and we are inclined to risk it here.

The roughie October Date ran a super race in the Lord Reims and its grinding effort gave the indication that it would still be there at the business end. That run was after overcoming (“atrial fibrillation”) a common heart irregularity but happy to have something on at the price.

The Chris Waller trained Naval Warfare is a super honest animal and has really been finding the line (with the exception of its last run in Melbourne) but it will get every possible chance from gate one to be there when the whips are cracking. And of course there is only one Chris Waller! Of the others Aagaa can run into a place as it’s a grinding type who may just lack the class to win but is a big price.

Kezehrabad is no doubt the hard fit horse of the group having two 3000m+ runs at its last 4 runs. If there are any chinks in the armour of the fancied runners he will be punching away at the end. The other one to keep safe is Surprise Baby it has only had five career runs and is a big jump up from a rating 84 over 2000m but it may just be the horse on the rise.

Adelaide Cup tips betting market is as follows:
$3.70 Bondeiger
$6.00 Naval Warfare, Eastender
$9.00 Lamborghini
$11.00 Fabrizio, Surprise Baby
$18.00 Slypheed
$24.00+ all other runners

Form sheets and tips will be sent out morning of Monday 11 March Adelaide Cup Day
