SIRES SR6 MILITARIZE $26

Was an absolute forget run in the Golden Slipper copped bad interference and was a total forget run, had a nice run in transit on Saturday but looked to be off the bit at the 700. Moreira the star international jock didn’t panic just let him find his rhythm again he was travelling to the turn and despite looking to mis stride at the 300m (slipped?). Was POWERFUL the last part and dominated. Trainer Waller unsure if he will take the horse to the Champagne Stakes in two weeks time for the 2 year olds over 1600m.

TJ SMITH SR7 I WISH I WIN $9.50

EXTRAORDINARY win in the TJ SMITH by I Wish I Win in a last to first win that had to be seen to be believed. It charged into equal Everest fav in the Sydney Spring Racing Carnival on the back of that run. And no wonder… it picked up the BEST SPRINTERS in the land like they were second rate. Last prep the horse had been heading toward a Cox Plate in this years Spring Racing Carnival BUT Moody changed tact and went the Golden Eagle route (it won). THEN Moody made the decision to train as a sprinter instead a decision that has returned BIG dividends.

DONCASTER SR8 MR BRIGHTSIDE $6

BACK TO BACK Doncaster wins for Mr Brightside, the horse that really has rebuilt the Hayes name to a powerhouse in racing. The All Star Mile WINNER in Melbourne only a few weeks ago added another few million to the account with an inspired ride by Zac Purton. The horse had a lovely run in transit BUT was in the worst going, the most impressive part of Purton’s ride was he cuddled and cuddled for as long as possible knowing the horse wasn’t going to explode when it let down. As it turns out he was headed but he is BRAVE and capped in a remarkable few weeks for the Hayes stable that also included a Blue Diamond WINNER.

DERBY SR9 MAJOR BEEL $51
Quite an extraordinary price about a Gai Waterhouse runner who was nosed in the Group 2 lead up (Tulloch Stakes) and used PLENTY of fuel early in that race. LOVED the wet conditions and was ridden positively up outside the speed, a nice decision by Tim Clark to go for home turning and make them chase him down, the horse was rock hard fit and they couldn’t get past him! Now out in the paddock and headed to Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival.
