Spring Racing Carnival action

Incentivise is the 4-1 Caulfield Cup and 9-1 Melbourne Cup fav

This weekend we head to the Rupert Clarke Stakes at Caulfield this week as part of the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival. We also have the Caulfield Guineas Prelude and the Thousand Guineas Prelude as well as the Naturalism Stakes. The Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival really hots up with the Big 3 of the Caulfield Cup, Cox Plate and Melbourne Cup only just around the corner for a massive Melbourne Racing season.

In Sydney Racing we have the George Main Stakes this Saturday at Randwick as part of the Sydney Spring Racing Carnival. Also at Randwick will be the running of The Shorts and the Tea Rose Stakes. We have the Big 2 of Sydney Racing, The Everest and Golden Rose not far away in mid October.

So lets review last weeks Saturday Racing Tips Review as we look at the highs, the improvers and some Black Bookers to get us rolling for the Spring Carnival 2021. Not a subscriber yet then check out our packages and join now. Incentivise and Mo’unga on track

Melbourne Racing Tips analyst Pete Brinky totally NAILED the Group 1 Makybe Diva making Incentivise and Mounga Strong Bets and they run the Quinella. These horses are both on track to their future goals which is the Cups for Incentivise and the Cox Plate for Mo’unga.

Mo’unga ran second and although beaten found the line well off a muddling speed and will derive further improvement onto the Underwood Stakes from here. Incentivise is on the Melbourne Cup and Caulfield Cup trail was the product of a BIG betting plunge ($11 into $3.60). The horse led, controlled and kicked with strength when challenged by some serious horses. It was a spectacular return and is onto the Turnbull Stakes from here. The other run of the race was Sir Dragonet who went equally as well as Mo’unga on unsuitable ground and a big run by the defending Cox Plate champ. Sir Dragonet will go head to head with Mo’unga next start in the Underwood.
Blackbookers: Incentivise, Mo’unga and Sir Dragonet

Turaath to the Paddock or Million Dollar bonus

Our man Pete Brinky was at it again selecting Turaath as a Strong Bet in the Lets Elope Stakes. It was a BIG win as sat 3 wide no cover and fought them all off very brave effort. Trainer Maddie Raymond was looking to take the horse to the paddock (has had 7 runs this prep) but with a $1 million bonus on offer if she can return and win the Lets Elope on Derby Day she will want to be sure the horse had had enough.

Golden Eagle or Cox Plate for Ayrton

It was a shock defeat but it could just be the best run from Ayrton so far. This horse as we have said all along has been hyped up before delivering. Until you get amongst the cream its hard to tell where you sit. Two defeats from 3 runs at black type level now shows there is some work to do but the horse was brave 3 wide no cover and didn’t shirk the task. We liked the run and Trainer Mick Price is convinced the horse is now looking for further with a possible Epsom Handicap start.

Artorius upset but still Guineas Fav

Mr Mozart proved to strong and showed a stack of courage to hold off the Caulfield Guineas fav Artorius. Perhaps Artorius left a bit on the track first up with that devastating win. He hit a flat spot second up and that cost him the race. Mr Mozart firmed from $61 into $15 for the Guineas after the win with Artorius still the $5.5 fav.  We feel he will take improvement and be cherry ripe.
Blackbooker: Artorius

Sydney Racing Best Bet winner Love Tap at 10-1

Our Sydney Racing analyst Blaazing Ben Perkins save his best until the last of the day, race 10 at Kembla to deliver our BEST BET winner. Nash Rawiller had the race well in his control a long way from home with Love Tap. The horse had the blinkers on and had a real zest for racing finding a nice spot early, he got to the front early in the straight but was never really in any danger. He really stripped fitter for his wide run last start and walked in.
Blackbooker: Love Tap

Racing Tips Blackbookers – horses to follow from Kembla

Dulcify Stakes – Arnaquer we noticed really finding the line likely to follow the 3yo classic path the Golaming into the Spring Champion if measures up

Sheraco Stakes – Entriviere, the Kiwi resumed and was absolutely dominant. Will strip fitter and continue on nicely in fillies/mares class. Fituese backed up its good win last start with a strong run powering home late for good strong effort.

Run To The Rose
Anamoe took all day to get there but plenty of merit in the win it was the query run (first up) and will only get better from here and on target for the Golden Rose. In The Congo led and kicked hard off a nice speed, the run was full of merit. Gleneagles got a long way back and closed off hard in good style a much improved run
