Melbourne Racing Tips – FLEMINGTON REVIEW

EXCLUSIVE EXPRESS $3.90 BEST BET WINNER
Exclusive Express was a very nice Melbourne Racing Tips Pete Brinky $3.90 BEST BET winner (our rated price $3). It was given a beautiful ride with the box seat run had all the favours and some nice acceleration to kick and win well. The stable are considering the Thousand Guineas (1600m) but feel more certain that is better suited at the 2000m. So the Ethereal looks like being the path and then possibly onto the Oaks if she can stay. We were not far off our $10 BEST BET MULTI with Exclusive Express winning and second leg Zoutori being beaten by a head in race 4 by Kementari.

INCENTIVISE $2.25 CAULFIELD CUP FAV ADDS MORE GROUP 1’s
Incentivise was able to show some real courage in its Group 1 win taking out the Turnbull Stakes after looking under real pressure at the 200m. The effort does have some questions marks around it and has to step up quickly again in trip for the Caulfield Cup. No doubt Moody is the master trainer but there may be a hard fitness query going from 1400m first up to the Group 1 Caulfield Cup third up and just the 2000m run in between. The horse also had its own way in the lead but the the MOST impressive aspect of the win was the courage to fight. Incentivise will likely need it come Caulfield Cup day.

KEMENTARI FIRST WIN IN 2.5 YEARS
It has been a long time between drinks for Gilgai winner Kementari, chalking up its first win in 2.5 years. Ollie rode it a treat settling back off them getting to the outside rail and urging the horse strongly the final 100m. Our picks ran the trifecta spots (2nd and 3rd) Zoutouri and Kemalpasa in a very tight finish.

KALLOS WINS DANEHILL FIRMS FROM $41 to $10 FOR COOLMORE
From a Hawkesbury maiden win, Kallos climbed the ranks quickly in a dominant win in the Danehill. Handled the straight track with ultimate ease and had a turn of speed that left all the opposition struggling.  The big flop from the race was Ingratiating who settled back and didn’t come on.

GRAND PROMENADE RACES INTO THE MELBOURNE CUP WITH BART CUMMINGS WIN.
Grand Promenade was our second pick in the Bart Cummings and came home as a nice $5 winner. Tralee Rose ran second and we had the quinella in our tips paying $16.80)

Grand Promenade raced into equal 3rd fav for the Melbourne Cup after automatic qualification through the Bart Cummings victory. The horse had a charmed run getting the box seat. He then pushed off easily on the turn and had a nice turn of speed and strength to hold them off. Tralee Rose is on track for the Melbourne Cup as well but is struggling in the order of entry. The two runs that were nice out of the 2500m were Realm Of Flowers and Chapada.

Sydney Racing Tips – RANDWICK REVIEW

MASKED CRUSADER BEST BET WINNER
After a lacklustre run in The Shorts the jury was well and truly out on Masked Crusader. Our 3 unit BEST BET winner answered that in a big way winning from what seemed an impossible position early in the straight. Tommy Berry correctly pointed out the horse will need a stack of luck in the Everest being a get back horse. But Berry pointed out the horse had a good “blow” after the race indicating there is some nice improvement to come. Masked Crusader firmed from $7 into $6.50 for the Everest to be held Saturday 16 October.

COOLONGATTA DESTROYS THEM IN GIMCRACK
Debut performer Coolongatta showed a level of maturity that defied her first starter status and has put here hand up as an early Golden Slipper hope with a BIG win. The most impressive aspect of her win was the gate speed as she showed was nice to see. She has tactical speed but then to be grabbed hold of and settle like a lamb only to be asked for the effort early in the straight. To display a stunning turn of speed, looks top shelf.

ROUGHIE TAKES FLIGHT STAKES
There is no doubt Never Been Kissed got under the guard of many and when you look back in hindsight its hard to know how it went around at such big odds. Trained by Waterhouse renowned for tough juveniles (the 1600m a plus) she was also off an unlucky 3 wide no cover run in the same class. So in hindsight to not have something on her was a mistake. Gai Waterhouse is now going to back up the winner in the Spring Champion Stakes Saturday just as Montefilia did last year.  She is the $10 fourth fav.

EPSOM HANDICAP PRIVATE EYE STORMS OVER TOP
There were really no hard luck runners, as often can be the case, in the Epsom with the winner coming from basically last on the turn to power over the top. For so many years it has been this style of horse that wins these high pressure mile handicap races. After winning first up and some unlucky runs subsequent Private Eye was at top level and far to good for the opposition. Private Eye tightened right in to $6 from $15 in The Golden Eagle to be held 30 October.

MONTEFILIA RACES INTO CAULFIELD CUP CONTENTION
Monetfilia sat wide (with cover) and fought like a caged lion the last 50 to out bob Entente. Trainer David Payne declaring the former star 3YO on target for the Caulfield Cup. She firmed into 3rd equal fav for the big race and although Incentivise is the short priced fav Montefilia has a fitness edge going into the big one
