There were a couple of major race blowouts last Saturday at Flemington as 300-1 pop Lunar Fox won the Group 1 blue riband Caulfield Guineas. If that was not enough we then had Capriccio win the Inglis Dash at 60-1. Sydney Racing Tips Autumn Carnival

The Sydney Autumn Carnival comes alight this week with brilliant Group 1 Racing. Melbourne Racing Tips Review

Melbourne Racing Caulfield Guineas blowout at 300-1
Not many (if anyone) saw the win of $301 pop Lunar Fox coming to fruition. Not even the winning jockey Michael Dee who thought he had “no chance” prior to the race. In winning Lunar Fox became the highest priced horse in history to win a Group 1 in Australia at 300-1. Cherry Tortoni was a big run out of the race jockey who was half asleep and never put it into the race. It is on track big time for the Derby. Beltoro was also a good run put the blinkers on next start and look out. Ole Kirk simply hasn’t come back this prep and it might be “cue in the rack time” for Ole at Team Hawkes.

Sydney Racing Tips review

Sweet Embrace Stakes – 2 year olds
Four Moves Ahead was good in winning, had a charmed run and ambled up to win. Ran out of condition the last 100m but strips fitter and right on track for the Golden Slipper. Run of the race was She’s All Class who really found the line and had Golden Slipper written all over it.

Skyline Stakes -2 year olds
Shaquero was the race fav was disappointing and is now out to 50-1 for the Golden Slipper after its lack lustre run. The winner O’President had an easy lead and entitled to win, Hilal was a nice run but query over the class of the race. We doubt the Golden Slipper winner is here but if it is its Hilal.

Chipping Norton Stakes a Verry Elleegant Affair

Well the gritty tough mare does it again with Verry Ellegant superb. What a super horse and 7 Group 1 wins tells the story. She was in a dogfight and as she has done so often during her career her desire to win had her stick the neck out in the shadows to win. She is on track for the Queen Elizabeth Stakes during the Championships at Randwick. Avilius was a nice return to form going right to the wire with the great mare and Collette was arguably ridden too close but a very good run.

Surround Stakes for Forbidden Love

Forbidden Love won the Surround and it was a brilliant ride that got the result. Sucked along the fence and patient got the run at the right time and exploded with a great turn of foot she may go on to the Group 1 Coolmore or even onto the Doncaster as a lightweight hope with 49 kg’s. Montefila found the race too short but warmed up well late.
