Saturday Melbourne & Sydney Racing Tips – Last Week review
It was a big day of Saturday Racing Tips last Saturday in Melbourne Racing Tips and Sydney Racing Tips. We had the Blue Diamond, Futurity and the Oakleigh Plate at Caulfield racecourse and at Rosehill the Hobartville Stakes as the Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival really starts to hot up from March. But it was the Blue Diamond for the 2 year olds as part of the Melbourne Autumn Racing Carnival that turned betting markets for the Golden Slipper inside out.
Melbourne Racing Tips Blue Diamond winner – each way bet at 26-1
Race 7 in Saturday Melbourne Racing Tips last week was the Blue Diamond Stakes. We were very keen on best bet fav Hanseatic but we also put up on our Late Mail each way selection and value chance Tagaloa. And as our Expert Melbourne Racing Tips Pete Brinky did the week prior with our winning $73,000 Quaddie on CF Orr Stakes Day, Pete came good tipping Tagaloa as our second selection. We rated Tagaloa 16-1 so the 26-1 result was a nice overs. Further the quinella with fav Hanseatic paid $34 for exotics punters.
The winner Tagaloa was 3 wide facing breeze on speed and it was a terrific win and will go to the Sydney Racing Tips Golden Slipper and be a chance as a big shortener into $9. Second Hanseatic every chance and should’ve got past winner given run he had and is a drifter out to $7. Third placed Personal looks nice type better suited over more ground and maybe headed to Sydney for the Sires Produce whilst fifth placed Muntaseera got home good against the bias and follow her wherever she goes.
Race 6 in Melbourne Racing Tips last Saturday was the Futurity Stakes. The winner Streets of Avalon well supported when leader bias evident. Second horse and fav Super Seth was probably ridden bit closer than usual due to bias and courageous in narrow defeat. Thinking he will go to the Sydney Racing Tips Randwick Guineas instead of the Melbourne Racing All Star Mile chasing a Group 1 win. Third horse Melody Belle also handier to speed than expected and good run. The 10 times Group 1 mare will be cherry ripe for ASM in 3 weeks.
Melbourne Racing Tips race 8 last week was the sprint 1100m Oakleigh Plate. The winner Pippie a terrific display of sheer speed to run rest of field off legs but was suited by the on pace bias. Second Zoutori home hard against the bias and looks genuine chance in the Melbourne Racing Tips Newmarket Handicap on Super Saturday at Flemington racecourse in two weeks. Sixth placed was Bivouac in a good effort considering the bias and also good chance in the Group 1 Newmarket Handicap. Seventh Halvorsen came from last on turn and was strong late. Better suited at Flemington in Newmarket in 2 weeks and out to 1200m and has good record down the straight.
