Cox Plate Day Review

MOST CONTROVERSIAL COX PLATE IN RECENT MEMORY

It was a thrilling finish with State of Rest and Anamoe going toe to toe to the finish line. However the lead up events and the controversy of the Cox Plate on The 2021 Cox Plate will be remembered for the controversy surrounding the whole week. Here are the key take outs from the Cox Plate 2021 and read the full review in the attached link https://itipsports.com.au/cox-plate-2021-review/

* Non capacity field Japanses horse Keiai Nautique denied as run
* Gold Trip denied a run on vets advise despite trainer saying horse is fit
* fav Zaaki scratched on morning of race
* Protest dismissed State of Rest versus Anamoe (60/40% should have been upheld)

Melbourne Cup bound – Verry Elleegant

Verry Elleegant was a VERY nice run out of the race and if she presses on to the Melbourne Cup she’s right on track. Given her ENOURMOUS run last year (charged late from impossible position) you could do worse than have something on her.

We will always be left wondering about this Cox Plate and could Zaaki have beaten them. Indeed where does Incentivise slot into the discussion amongst these horses and would he have been too strong for them.

Whilst on the discussion of the Cox Place Moonee Valley racing weekend, the Friday night Manikato Stakes is a problem. It will most likely have to shift timeslots given the dilution in field quality because of The Everest the week prior. We suspect the Manikato will now have to become a key lead up race to The Everest perhaps run in September.

Victorian Derby fav Forget You

Forgot You was a 3 unit BEST BET and took all of the Moonee Valley straight to get past the roughie stable mate (100-1) Commander Harry. It will top the Derby fav off nicely (firmed even further after the win) and certainly goes into next weeks Derby as the one to beat. Commander Harry shortened from $46 into $23 after the run and is one you could entertain as used a STACK of fuel running them along it held on well.

Adelaide “border raider” Dexelation a nice $8 result

Dexelation made it back to back wins this prep after a barnstorming win at the Valley. Our Top Melbourne Racing Tips analyst Pete Brinky is a MASTER at tipping these “Adelaide Raiders” on a regular basis with great success. Pete has a terrific ability to line up Adelaide form in an advantageous way to obtain value as Adelaide form and is generally under rated by the market in Melbourne. This horse was under pressure a long way out but swept nicely on the turn to charge away for BIG win

ADELAIDE RACING TIPS +42 UNIT PROFIT DAY

$4200 PROFIT FOR THE $100 PUNTER √
$800 PROFIT FOR THE $20 PUNTER √
3 DOUBLE FIGURE WINNERS

It was a great day for our Adelaide racing Tips subscribers with at +42 unit day. The day (after scratchings) involved an investment of 32 units for a monster 74 unit return. Here how the day played out:

Race 1 Rastelli WINNER $16 √
Race 2 Strategy WINNER $4 √
Race 4 Iowa Hawkeye WINNER $26 √
Race 8 Renegade WINNER $15 √

Race 1 Rastelli WINNER $16 √
Our rated price was $4.20 for this Lloyd Kennewell first starter, it was TOTALLY unwanted by the market drifting terribly (from $6 out to $16) but jumped well sat outside the pace and held off our other tip in the race for nice win, (not included in the return stats the quinella paid $20 so effectively another 20-1 winner!!) so it was a good start a $16 winner

Race 2 Strategy WINNER $4 √
In a difficult race our 2 unit Strong bet got the money ($4), it was a tricky race with so many varying form lines however as is the case with a lot of our form the edge came from the fitness angle, 3rd up was ready to fire and took the gap well to win.

Race 4 Iowa Hawkeye WINNER $26 √
Rated $13 with our top pick scratched from this race this was our each way bet and continued its teriffic 3rd up form. Had run well on pace last time and that tuned it up well, it was a great ride taking a suit behind the tempo and turning had a lapful of horse to win at an average price of $26 and $4.50 the place

Race 8 Renegade WINNER $15 √

Rated at $7.50 as we expected the Blinkers back on and McEvoy bringing to an easier race it was able to rediscover its best form. It was some win to with the big weight sat wide no cover and was to strong with a nice $15 return ($4.50 place) for our subscribers.
