AFLX tonight
The AFL tips 2019 season is not far away and as we head to AFLRound 1 and the season kicks off tonight with AFLX.
The AFLversion of the BBL Big Bash cricket, the AFLX round robin tonight see four sides, The Bolts, The Flyers, The Rampage and The Deadly play in a series of 20 minute games in what is either the new strategic direction for the AFL or a mickey mouse early look at the AFL 2019 season that won’t take too much attention away from the AFLW! Depends who you talk to.
Played on a rectangular ground there are 2 x 10 minute halves with each of the four teams playing each other with the finale being the Grand Final. Here are the AFLX sides and Captains:
Deadly – Eddie Betts
Flyers – Nat Fyfe
Bolts – Patrick Dangerfield
Rampage – Jack Riewoldt
But really…paper, rock and scissors to work out who wins the toss! How can any of us take this seriously in what is in effect the AFL tips 2019 season launch to the public.
There is AFL betting on the games but the markets are very tight, within a goal of each other. Games start at 6.40pm with the Grand Final at 9.30pm.
