AFL ROUND 20 BETTING

Our winning run of AFL betting for 7 weeks came to an end with a small -1.2 result in round 20. Highlights of our HBM Human Behaviour Model for AFL Rd 20 betting were St Kilda, Melbourne and West Coast and Adelaide. We were let down by North Melbourne (once again), GWS and the Bulldogs. AFL Round 20 snapshot game reviews

Melbourne kicked off Round 20 on Friday night and returned to their 2021 premiership form as they put Freo to sleep and kept them to 39 points in doing so. That type of form ranks Melbourne 1 in the AFL and would seem them in another Grand Final.

Collingwood has won 9 in a row and once again a remarkable single digit point win as they have done so many times this season. Finals beckon for the Pies and can they maintain this big streak. For Port it is season over and we await a coaching change or otherwise. 

Sydney keeps on keeping on and is finals bound and a real smokey. 

St Kilda were a 2.5 unit bet for us and its narrow win puts them back in the 8 and in the race for an AFL finals berth. 

The Bulldogs got out to an early 4 goal lead against Geelong but that was about the end of the Dogs. Geelong retain top spot and have a hard edge to them in 2022, the Dogs stay in a 4 way battle for 7th or 8th spot.

Adelaide was a +16.5 and $3 win bet and delivered for us in a 84-55 win over a poor Carlton. Have not seen a side tackle so poorly for a long time and Carlton will need to bounce and quick or there finals run may be over before it started. 

West Coast was a +34.5 bet for us and we just missed a $6 win as they went down 104-107 to the Gold Coast.

The most remarkable game of the round was the Richmond versus Brisbane game. It was 7 Brisbane goals to Richmond 2 at Q1 time. Richmond then turned on a clinic in the second half and 10 goals to 3 to get home in a classic 104-97 win. Big questions over Brisbane now as to any Grand Final credentials whilst Richmond stays in the four way finals hunt for 7th and 8th.

Essendon got it done against North who we took as a +41.5 line bet but just could not stay in touch going down by 48 points. North is just a disaster this year.

Three rounds to go and then its finals 2022 as we sit on a small profit for the year.
