Melbourne’s Autumn Racing Carnival consists of nine races that have already started! The Blue Diamond Stakes Day was held on Saturday, February 22 at Caulfield Racecourse and was an immense success. Strike It Lucky With the Golden Slipper

The Golden Slipper, which will be held on April 5, 2014, is one of the world’s best and richest races for thoroughbred horses. This 1200-metre scorcher is held at the Rosehill Gardens, and has been running since 1957. Like many of the world’s best race days, the Golden Slipper is a glam and fabulous affair where everyone is dressed to the nines and Fashion in the Field is popular.

Finish Up the Season at Sydney Cup Day

Royal Randwick plays host to the Sydney Cup Day on April 27, which has four group one races to witness and bet on. The race itself is 3200-metres long and is the day’s highlight; all eyes are on the track as the horses begin their sprint, and by the end, there’s not a quiet racing fan in the house!
