It was a tough “win” by Ellsberg dead heating in the Epsom and a BIG BEST BET VALUE WINNER for subscribers. It had a nice trailing run throughout but really dug in a fought when it counted. Was beaten 3 or 4 times up the straight but the horse showed great ticker, it was a good overlay for our deep value investment.
Randwick Lost and Running BEST BET WINNER $2.40
Lost and Running stamped himself the BIG danger to Nature Strip in the up coming THE EVEREST with a STRONG win over the weekend. The most encouraging part was the improvement to come. Trainer O’Shea has continually said he will improve into the race so that’s exciting for those who secured the $51 in early markets for the big one and is now second fav at $7.50
Morphettville East Indiaman BEST BET WINNER $4.00
Adelaide Racing Tips and patience is a virtue and that’s what you had to have to be with East Indiaman on the weekend. It was almost 3 YEARS to the day since he won his last race but we liked him as a best bet the writing was on the wall, it was a dominant win careering away from them and can be followed with some confidence going forward

CAULFIELD CUP NEW FAV
Smokin’ Romans took out the Turnbull Stakes in fine style and had a pretty cosy time of things. Racing up outside the pace they got nice cheap midrace sectionals but proved too strong in run to line. The past two winners of the Turnbull Stakes have gone on to win the Caulfield Cup (Verry Elleegant and Incentivise). Was backed clearly into outright fav for the Caulfield Cup ($9 into $4.60) in what has been a very nice progression from country cups horse to a real bigtime contender .
