Race 1
N1 Arktika 2 unit STRONG BET $4 lightly raced mare with impressive strike rate and got back in winning form at Moe last time out on heavy ground.
N12 Tahlequah VALUE $7 beaten favourite at Pakenham on synthetic last start after finishing 2^nd there at previous run.  Happy to forgive last run and back on turf here.

Race 2
Too many unknowns with more than half the field unraced and watching on.

Race 3
N8 Roots 2 unit STRONG BET $3 runner up at the Valley on Cox Plate day when made ground late on fence which was inferior ground. Emergency on Cup day and didn’t get a start looks hard to beat.
N12 Climbing Star 2 unit STRONG BET $4 narrowly beaten on Cox Plate day after winning on debut and looks suited here.  Promising type who prefers it dry.
N5 Fortunate Kiss saver $8 form reads only fair on paper but recent runs have been better than they look and can improve sharply.

Race 4
N12 Grey River 3 UNIT BEST BET $4 lightly raced Adelaide filly winner of 2 from 4 including last start 7 length win at Morphettville and looks well placed here for VIC debut.
N1 See You in Heaven VALUE $10 improved effort last start second up at Caulfield when coming from well back to run 7th and looks like the 1400m will suit.

Race 5
N12 Saint Bathans 2 unit STRONG BET $5 never going to lose at Caulfield last time out beating smart type after terrific 4^th in Seymour cup and looks one to beat again.
N8 War Eternal VALUE $9 NSW visitor from astute stable with good draw and form back home is good without winning.

Race 6
N3 Zoustyle 2 unit STRONG BET $4.50 Qld sprinter who has placed at all 3 runs this prep in Victoria in good sprinting grade and will appreciate drop in class here.
N1 Kallos saver $7 beaten by inform galloper at Caulfield last start after winning in Sydney and is a winner down the straight in group 2 grade.
N2 Halverson saver $7 straight track specialist first up since running second in group 1 grade in Adelaide.

Race 7
N13 Corona Lad 2 unit STRONG BET $6 looked the winner at Caulfield last time out only to be run down in shadows of post.  Previous form good and looks good chance in open race.
N9 Prowling VALUE BET $7 won last 2 up the bush and starting to live up to potential.  Goes in mix here.
N14 Toregene saver $6 lightly raced promising type who won well fresh before placing at Cranbourne second up.

Race 8 – Oaks
N1 Shes Extreme 3 UNIT BEST BET $2.50 top class Sydney filly with terrific form back home including close up 3^rd in group 1 grade against the boys last start. If she gets the 2500m, looks good thing in an average Oaks.
N3 Renaissance Woman VALUE BET $7 worked to the line in good grade in Sydney to finish mid field last time out after winning at Caulfield over 200m.  she will get the trip.
N7 As Time Goes Bye VALUE BET $10 got home well to run 3^rd in Wakeful on Saturday and she is shaping as if distance will suit here when others might be struggling.

Race 9
N18 Greece 2 unit STRONG BET $3.50 super impressive winner at Geelong last start and scratched couple of times of late dodging wet track.  If she goes around, looks one to beat.
N1 Paris Dior VALUE BET $9 above average Sydney filly second up with blinkers on and looks suited.
N11 She Dances VALUE BET $14 led all the way to win on debut at Sandown before unplaced run second up.  Big watch first up here for team Moody.
N19 Magic Time VALUE BET $10 3^rd emergency who goes in the equation if she gains a start on ease of debut win at Pakenham.
