Race 1

N5 Castlereagh Kid VALUE $7 won 3 in a row earlier in year before competing in Group 1 and 2 grade and not disgraced.  Bold showing expected first up here.

N8 Aintnodeeldun VALUE $10 lightly raced and had some issues but has good ability and also expecting good run fresh in open race.

N14 French Emperor saver $6 has looked good winning past 2 starts up the bush and drops significantly in weights.

Race 2

N8 Aesop 2 units STRONG BET $4 failed to handle the heavy ground at Caulfield last time out after impressive Sandown win and if gets reasonably firm going can improve sharply.

N5 Kissinger saver $6 runner up at Caulfield in similar grade last start and repeat effort would put him in this.

N19 Wuddzz VALUE $6 import and 3rd emergency who goes in the equation if gets a run on 3rd placing at Geelong last start when having first AUS run.

Race 3

N3 Angry Skies value $6 didn’t have a lot of luck when narrowly defeated at Caulfield last start and despite wide draw goes in mix in open race.

N14 Magic Time VALUE $10 bolted in on debut be it on Pakenham synthetic and draws wide but respect for stable in form.

N16 Sweetened value $9 good winner on debut at Geelong before 2 fair runs in town but maybe looking for the extra distance here now.

Race 4

N11 Soulcombe 2 unit STORNG BET $3.50 lightly raced import having first Aus run for Melbourne Cup winning stable and goes on top on form in UK.

N5 Lunar Flame saver $6 scratched out of Melbourne Cup Tuesday morning with slight issue and if runs here, has to be included on last 2 starts, winning at Flemington before runner up in Valley Cup.

N13 Captain Envious VALUE $14 lightly raced promising staying type winner of 3 from 5 starts including impressive Geelong win in a lot lesser grade last start.

Race 5

N7 Foxy Frida 2 unit STRONG BET $5 fitter for 3 runs where she has finished 4th at all of them and this has been her spring target all along out to 2000m.  looked good winning at Journey at SA carnival back in May and hoping for dryer track than she got last time out.

N6 Steinem DEEP VALUE $12 handy mare who didn’t fire on wet tracks in Autumn but was very good last spring in handy grade and strips fitter for 2 runs this prep.  Was making ground late at the valley on cox plate day over shorter trip.

N8 Dynasties SAVER $5 on quick back up after good 4th here on cup day and wasn’t far away in Queensland Oaks in the winter.

Race 6

N1 Nature Strip 3 UNIT BEST BET $2.20 beaten into 4th place in Everest last start after impressive first up win and gets back to favourite track and can atone here.

N14 Giga Kick saver $5 3 year old winner of the Everest taking on the older horses again and gets weight advantage and likes the Flemington straight.

Race 7

N9 My Oberon 2 unit STRONG BET $5 looked super impressive winning at first Australian run on Cox Plate day, be it in lesser grade but thinking with natural improvement 2nd up, is the one to beat.

N2 Private Eye saver $4 hard to knock his brilliant win in Sydney last week but slight query out to 1600m here on quick back up.

N8 Tuvalu VALUE $10 been kept for this after winning G1 Toorak earlier in spring and has freshness on his side, compared to many of the others.

Race 8

N7 Anamoe 3 UNIT BEST BET $2.20 had run of race when winning Cox Plate last start and looks to get all the favours here again from barrier 4.

N1 I’m Thunderstruck SAVER $5 the DANGER no luck when coming from mile back to run 2nd in cox plate last time out after getting held up on fence. Draws trick again but Flemington will suit.

N10 Elliptical VALUE $12 exciting 3 year old taking on older horses but has been narrowly beaten in Group 1 grade at last 2 starts and gets weight advantage.

Race 9

N6 Taunting 3 UNIT BEST BET $3 promising Adelaide sprinter who had no luck when runner up at the valley last start after some impressive efforts back home and gets J MAC here and wide gate, which should be the place to be.

N9 Najem Suhail SAVER $6 former South African galloper better for 3 runs in Australia including brilliant all the way win at Sale last time out.  Also draws to get to outside fence.

N20 Treporti SAVER $6.50 had good form last season as 3 year old performing well down the straight including a win and 21nd placing.  4th emergency who has to be included if gains a start.
