Overpass was a shock result in the Group 2 Expressway Stakes, he led and dictated and the way the track played it certainly looked the place to be. They were kicking up a lot of sand away from the rail and they did struggle to run on and win there Saturday. Only time will tell what was more of a concern to the results and was it track bias. Or was it horses resuming with bigger pictures in sight that were not fully wound up, no doubt it’s a combination of the two but we will not overplay the track bias in our form going forward. 

Sydney Racing Tips – Anaomoe returns to the track

We saw the return Saturday in Sydney Racing of last years Cox Plate runner up Anamoe. Anamoe was still a solid run against the bias and first up you couldn’t sack him on that. No doubt the bubble burst for a couple of Golden Slipper hopefuls with Great Barrier Reef and Ebhaar complete flops in there respective races as short priced favs. They were on the 3rd and 4th lone of Golden Slipper betting but that has been thrown out the door after only beating 1 runner home between the two of them. Blaaxzing Ben had both winners in his selections and nice selections from Ben and big overlay profit results. The two winners Best of Bordeaux ($20-1 into $6) and Queen Of The Ball ($16) obviously trimmed up for the Golden Slipper but the school of thought is its still the Coolangatta form that looks the one at this point.
