It may be AFL Grand Final weekend this weekend but the Melbourne Racing tips season really hots up with the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival meetings over the weekend at Moonee Valley on the Friday night prior the AFL Grand Final and then Sunday we head to Caulfield the day after the Grand Final. Of course in between the two race days in Melbourne is the big Sydney Racing tips Epsom Handicap at Randwick.

Melbourne Racing tips group 1 Moir Stakes
The Group 1 Moir Stakes at Moonee Valley is for the super fast horses over the 1000m and we see Nature Strip, en route to the $14 million The Everest in two week times installed as the $2.30 favourite for this Melbourne Racing tips speed classic. We have five others to challenge Nature Strip 10-1 or under with Houtzen, Ball of Muscle and Viddora all $8 and Snitty Kitty, Brave Smash and Voodoo Lad $11.
Other big races to top off a big Melbourne Racing tips Friday night at the Valley are the 1600m Stutt Stakes and the 1600m Stocks Stakes featuring the brilliant I Am A Star as a $2.80 fav.

A big double race meeting with the Sunday meeting after the AFL GF at Caufiield as the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival continues with the Group 1 1800m Underwood Stakes and the lead up races to the 3 year old classics the Caulfield and Thousand Guineas in two weeks time with lead up races the Caulfield Guineas Prelude and the Thousand Guineas Prelude.
But the $750,000 Underwood is the big one with the brilliant Humidor leading the Melbourne Racing tips markets at $3.80 with Grunt $4.40, $5.50 Blair House and a host on $10 including Homesman. Promises to be a great race and of course is a big lead up race to the big Cups and Cox Plate races.
