How is the All Star Mile field selected?

In an attempt to even further capture the interest of the nation the field is made up in a majority of “publicly voted” horses. This is the only race in the world where the public have a say as to the composition of the final race. The field is a field of 14 runners with 10 runners “voted in” by the public vote and the final 4 positions allocated by the VRC handicapping department in a “wildcard format “.
