AFL Round 19

AFL Betting Tips round 19 lands with one Friday night game, 5 Saturday and 3 Sunday games. As a result of these changes, especially home game teams that now play away, results in a number of AFL Betting oddschanges. Our previews reflect this however our AFL bets remain the same, albeit it with sports betting oddschanges in some games.

What a world we live in and how the AFL sporting calendar changes like the wind. The lockdown in Adelaide had Port and the Crows leaving to go to Melbourne Tuesday morning. Then it was staying in Adelaide to play the Round 20 Showdown. Then it was agreed back to Melbourne by 6pm and this was all in the same day. Both Port and Crows lose home games out of this. Further if they were allowed to stay in Adelaide to play they would have not been permitted to train…WTF! So its off to Melbourne for both Adelaide teams. A double header Sunday will see Sydney v Fremantle then Essendon v GWS at Metricon Gold Coast. Queensland once again becomes the default get out of jail for the AFL. Could it mean the AFL Grand Final is once again headed north? No, surely not and Premier Dan will pull a rabbit out his hat to ensure it stays in Melbourne.

AFL 2021 Big movers

Meanwhile Dusty is gone and it could mean goodbye for Richmond. From all reports Clarko and Sam Mitchell are not getting on and it will be good bye Clarko at the end of this season. We see Clarkson headed to Collingwood and Ross Lyon off to Carlton. A guess but educated at that. Melbourne and the Bulldogs play for top spot, in front of no people. Essendon sit 8th on the AFL table and get handed the poisoned chalice, this is whoever sits 8th is bound to lose that week. So here we go to AFL Round 19.

This game lands in Melbourne at Marvel instead of Adelaide because of the good old S.A. Government and S.A. Health!! As a result of this transfer the line changes from Po -32.5 to -21.5. Port Adelaide find themselves pushing back up into the AFL top 4. The question is can they hold the spot or fall again at the hurdle. The position here for Port is an important spot on the ladder to retain versus playing a lower ranked team.

Collingwood have a good recent record against the Power, lost by 1 point earlier in the year, a close loss (16 points last year when long odds). Collingwood had won the two games prior by an average of 45 points. The query for Collingwood is the “caretaker coach” scenario, if Harvey isn’t the man (and it seems he’s not) this can take a hard edge away from players need to perform. They were solid but overrun last week against Carlton and in all truth their form under Harvey has been solid. It will take internal player motivation from Collingwood to be on the up here.

Only one of the recent games between the two has been at Marvel where we land now and it was a 108-69 Collingwood win. Port Adelaide on the back of a “cover” win last week purely on the back of a Mitch Georgiades are vulnerable. We are selecting Collingwood to bounce here and cover against Port.
