AFL Round 1 Team by Team

Carlton: fell in against an average team
Richmond: winning bet for us, brave, probably should have won
Collingwood: definite premiership hangover, BIG wake up call can get it together BUT would want to hurry
Sydney: two BIG wins, look good, top 4 contender AND have key players to come back in
Essendon: we had a big score and got it against a lowly opponent
Hawthorn: 107 points against by a mid ranked team doesn’t all go well for a good season
GWS: looked in third gear maximum BUT still kicked 120+ points
North: look improved BUT still had 120+ kicked against them
Geelong: soft win at home BUT still a win
St Kilda: good effort, hard to win at Geelong
Gold Coast: look much improved under Hardwick
Adelaide: slow out the blocks was costly, came home hard nearly stole it
Melbourne: very good win, got their game going
Bulldogs: bad loss, could only score 64 points for AND had 109 agaisnt
Port Adelaide: very good against an average team, kick straight and they win by 100+ points
West Coast: poor result, if Port kick straight they lose by 100 points and Port kick 150+ points
Fremantle: strong win, on that result look improved
Brisbane: 0-2 start far from favourable and 2 poor losses

Our season end top 8 after round 1:

Sydney – Port – Melbourne – GWS – Gold Coast – Carlton – Fremantle – St Kilda
Jury out – Collingwood – Brisbane – Bulldogs
In for a rough season – West Coast
