AFL Tips Round 17 – The Wash Up

We got the wins in the Essendon 3 unit best bet +5.5 on Friday night over St Kilda and West Coast over Dockers on the Sunday -12.5. We missed on GWS loss to Sydney, North were smashed by Port on a big +37.5 line and Geelong had the -14.5 line sewn up but then threw it away v Hawks in their three pt win.

3 unit outlay on Best Bets versus single stake bets
So one of two things would have occurred with AFL tips and betting for you over the weekends betting.

If you had 3 unit staked (ie 3x the 1 unit bet) on the Essendon Best Bet, then with the West Coast win it was a small win for the weekend.

If you had single staked the Essendon game (ie 1 unit investment) as per the other 1 unit bets you would have had a small loss on the weekend.

Last four 3 unit Best Bets all collect
Keep in mind, always bet to your bank and the staking plan with our AFL tips. Our 3 unit Best Bets have performed very well this year.
Round 13 Sydney -4.5 over Richmond
Round 14 GWS -33.5 over Brisbane
Round 15 Brisbane +44.5 (and $7.50 win) over Essendon and
Round 17 Essendon +5.5 over St Kilda

So you can see the benefits of following the staking plan and the incremental returns of a 3 unit investment as opposed to an even stake.

The closeness continues in AFL tips and betting just continues in this AFL 2017 season. The race to the AFL Finals 2017 continues as we look to AFL 2017 finalists and to who feature in the AFL Grand FInal 2017.
This is the position at the end of Round 17:
1 game between 4th and 9th
1 game between 6th and 11th

AFL Wins For Round 17

The winners Round 17…

Sydney, Adelaide, Geelong, West Coast, Bulldogs, Essendon, Richmond…oh and Collingwood
Sydney were the big winners with their win over GWS and a move to sixth place on the AFL ladder and only one game of fourth as their unprecedented run of wins continues. This is made all the more remarkable by their 0-6 start and now sit on the third line of AFL betting at $6.50 the AFL premiership.

Adelaide and Geelong cement their positions as numbers one and two on the AFL table. Both play each other this Friday night in what is quite possibly an AFL Grand Final preview.

Richmond bounced back from its loss with a win over Brisbane but it wasn’t overly convincing. A to four spot still beckons but this is testing times historically for the Tigers and it will be challenging.

West Coast, Essendon and Bulldogs all had wins that keep them in touch of the top eight. West Coast is 36 points and eight, Essendon and Dogs 32 points and just out the eight.

And then to Collingwood, sitting at 6-10 and no hope of making the eight but tease us with keeping Bucks in a job for another week. Maybe they win seven in a row and he keeps his job…who knows!

AFL Losses For Round 17

And the losers…
Lets start with the Gold Coast. What a sorry state this is and the AFL send their heavy Mark Evans in as GM to fix the joint. Football Dept review in process means the Coach is gone. Rocket Eade will move on in the next few weeks and the search will commence for this sorry state of the AFL expansion.

GWS has just not come back after the bye liked we thought they would. This weeks game against Richmond is massive as a loss really places them under serious pressure as a top four finalist. St Kilda had a poor loss against Essendon (our best bet) in an expected fall after the big win over Richmond the week prior, a perfect play for our Human Behaviour Model. Melbourne also needs a bounce off of the Crows loss and has to come back from Darwin but does likely get players back for its crunch game v Port.

North and Carlton have had losses after honourable seasons but it is hard to see incentive given draft picks are a premium for rebuild. Not tanking, just rebuilding.

Hawthorn probably miss the finals but it has been a significant resurgence over the last month. All goes well for 2018. Fremantle probably look shot for 2017 given poor percentage and two games out the eight. Fyfe has resigned gives the Dockers a big boost for 2018.

Looking forward to a big Round 18.
