Remember we are not trying to make our life savings here, yes there is a win but we want to enjoy as well so therefore you comfort level of investment is paramount.

AFL Round 8 Tips 2017 – Who is the flag favourite?

This is a very good question as to who should rightfully be the AFL Grand Final favourite and who will be the AFL Grand Finalists. The Crows have lost their last two and badly. GWS won with 20 seconds on the clock in a game they should have lost at home to lowly Collingwood.

Geelong and Richmond, after being 5-0 have lost their last three and are 5-3. We already now Hawthorn and Sydney, perennial Grand Finalists are basically out of contention at the foot of the table.

The Bulldogs stay in contention at 5-3 but are less than convincing. West Coast near on unbeatable at home but don’t win in Melbourne sit equal top and 6-2.

Port catapult to equal fourth with a massive 150% at 5-3 but the percentage and wins are by virtue of smashing bottom ranked teams which has front runner written all over it. We cannot believe the publicity around Port beating Gold Coast in China. Yes we get the novelty factor. But Port is back…give us a break! The Suns had all but conceded the game when last week Coach Eade moaned and groaned about the game only to be told to pull his head in by his Chairman. But the damage was done as was his player’s mindset.

Melbourne smashed Adelaide in a strong win and sit 4-4. They are impressive Melbourne with a host of young players who are talented. They don’t have a ruckman and have now sadly lost Jesse Hogan with cancer but we all hope the operation is a success and it does not spread. So this makes it tough but they are fighting to stay in touch we give them that.

St Kilda is the big mover and has now won four of its last five. The pre season hype is starting to come together. Fremantle also has recovered from a horror start and at 5-3 has won four of its last five in getting their game together.

Forget the rest. Hawthorn is gone and the win over Brisbane was soft. We reckon Clarko is close on a major blow up. Cyrill is out for 3 months and even more injuries to key players make it tough. Sydney is interesting and has more upside to the year than Hawthorn. We had them as an AFL betting and tipping Best Bet and they smashed North who were on a 4 game peak performance cover streak. They would have to have a major run of wins and probably need to win 10 of 14 at 70% win rate to get in the eight.

North and Essendon are the other two capable of making the eight.

Futures Market AFL tips and betting propositions?
Despite two losses in a row and a less than convincing win over a bottom ranked team at home, both Adelaide and GWS remain firm AFL Grand Final premiership favorites at $4 and $3.75 respectively. Now we don’t dispute they should be flag favourites but they are awfully short given the last couple of weeks. The Bulldogs as third favourite are way too short at $7. Recent results don’t deserve that low quote. West Coast are $8 but rarely win in Melbourne so also too short. Port is on the fifth line of betting at $9, what a joke!

So none of these teams represent value at present.

The value sits on the next line, again repeating we are not saying these teams will win we are just saying they reflect some value. Geelong $16, St Kilda $21, Fremantle $34, Richmond $41 we would prefer to be on. We would also prefer to be on Sydney at $31 than the current top 5 teams.

So food for thought the above but given our recent results, lets hope we can keep giving subscribers the value results we are currently achieving with our line and win bets.
